Chapter 41

*Romeo's P.O.V*

I was a bit scared and sweating, "Mira-nee I don't know about this, this is too extravagant!" She smiled and laughed, "Let me use my money to help you, Romeo. I have been making so much money and have never used it, other giving bonuses or stuff like that" she mumbled that last bit.

I let out a sigh I didn't know I was holding and looked at Shelia for confirmation. "Yeah, Mira. Wendy doesn't like these kinds of stuff. Why not take her to one of those festivals with lanterns!"

She paused and smiled, "She has always wanted to go to one and see the lanterns! Also since those start in the evening why not take her to walk around the small village! It kinda is far though you should just go there now and get everything ready!" Mira-nee nodded, "That makes sense but since you won't let me pay for the restaurant take this money at least, maybe to buy some food and play some games!" I smiled and nodded feeling like everything was coming together!

"Well, what are you waiting for! You need to get everything prepared! Oh and before I forget you should ask someone to distract Wendy's class!" I nodded they may want to hang out with Wendy, I thought about it for a bit and snapped my fingers, "I'll ask Natsu and Happy to help me! They can hang out with Wendy's classmates for the day, that way they have something on their minds!"

They nodded and Mira smiled, "I should go get Wendy ready then! Sheila, do you wanna go with me, or do you wanna help Natsu distract the class?" She smiled, " I think it would be better for me to help Natsu, just in case" she decided, smiling.

We laughed, "Okay Operation Rowen is a go! Make sure to distract them good Shelia and Romeo, I hope you planned this good! I'll take Wendy to you around 1 okay!" I nodded and we split up!

I quickly changed and headed to the town where the Lantern Festival would be held at. I needed to plan this perfectly.

*Mira's P.O.V*

"Wendy what about this outfit?!" I squealed. Wendy gave an uneasy smile as I pushed her towards the changing room. "Why are we even doing this again Mira?" I laughed, "It's a surprise don't worry about it!" She nodded and came out with the clothes I picked out for her, she smiled shyly. I smiled and gave her more clothes. "Try these on too!"

She looked at me then looked at the clothes and sighed before taking them. She seemed shy but seemed to be having fun. I laughed at her blushing face when she came out, "I-I don't know about this one Mira" she stuttered.

"Okay, I'll let you choose one" She smiled and quickly went to change. I looked at my phone and checked the time, 12:00. I should hurry up, we don't want Wendy's classmates to see her here. She came out with a olive green dress and a light brown jacket with sleeves.

She had her hair down and looked down shyly. I smiled at her, "That looks good, let's buy it and get home. I have another surprise for you" Wendy smiled brightly and nodded. "Wait outside for me while I pay for it,"

She looked at me "Mira I also wanted to talk with you about something can we talk at home," she said looking down when she finished. I was a bit confused, "Of course Wendy I'll pay for it fast and we can talk about what you wanted" She nodded and walked out.

I went up and paid for it as fast as I could, "Here" I handed her a 100 bill and rushed off to see what Wendy wanted to talk about. "Keep the change," I said as I smiled at her and ran out. I saw Wendy waiting next to the fountain and waved at her. She smiled and walked over to me. "Let's hurry and get home so you can ask me your question." she smiled, "Yeah"

We were walking home when a thought struck me. I grinned, "Ne Wendy what do you think about Romeo?" she had a small blush while she looked down, "I don't know, before all this, I thought I was sure of my feelings for him but now I don't even know. I think I just need to spend more time with him to figure out what I truly feel." she mumbled.

She looked to be in thought and I nodded. After all, this has happened she has made new friends, she has also made enemies too.

I understood her feelings though. All she has ever done was stick close to Team Natsu who had people older than her and never really interacted with people her age, Romeo and Sheila being close to her age had made a huge impact on her and now being in a class full of people her age has helped her.

(A/N Wendy is 14 when Fairy Tails disbands the first time and after the time-skip, she is 15. Adding on in my story it has been a year since Fairy Tail has reunited, making her 16 for any confusion, at least I think she is 16...)

We got back home and I told Wendy to put her clothes away before she could ask me her question. I looked around and it seemed like they had all left to the mall, I sighed it's a good thing we didn't accidentally meet up anywhere. She came down and looked at me, "Is it- is it true that after I take my final test, I will be pulled out of U.A" she said quickly and quietly.

I sighed, "I'm guessing you heard our conversation the other day." she nodded and timidly looked down, "I know you don't want to, Wendy, but I feel safer if you could stay with me as my sidekick. Also, the fact that someone is targeting you, Wendy, I can't put you in any more danger than you already are. A hero may be dangerous but at least you'll be able to use your magic freely and not get in any trouble."

She nodded and looked up, determination filling her eyes. "Mira this is the first time I've ever been to class, and even though I'm not the best at it or have the best grades it is so much fun! I've had so much fun these past few months have taught me many things and I owe it all to my friends that I've made there. Honestly, this place isn't the best, villains run rampant all across the city and heroes only become heroes to get fame and money, but it has treated me well.

I felt so happy that I've found people that have good reasons to become heroes and do want to help this world get better, I also want to help, like how Fairy Tail helped me. So please let me stay at least until I finish my final test!" She pleaded.

I stopped and looked at her, "Wendy you know Fairy Tail wants the best for you," she nodded and I kept going, "If you want to stay I'll let you stay." She had small tears and hugged me. "I'll only let you stay until the final test, after that you have to become a hero."

She nodded, "Thank you so much, Mira!" I smiled and an idea struck me, "You know what, when I was talking with U.A I asked them if Shelia and Carla could also be a hero so you guys can be a team together." She smiled again and looked up eager to know what I was going to say, "but they said that they needed to get some training before that could happen."

She smiled, "YES!" but then she looked confused, "Why are they letting me get a Hero license?" I laughed at how quickly her expressions changed "You are in school learning the basics for hero work, but since Shelia and Carla didn't learn anything they are required to learn some things before they can enter hero work." She nodded and smiled.

She started crying, "Wendy why are you crying?" I asked softly patting her head, "Fairy Tail is the best family I could ever ask for!" she said, still crying I laughed and hugged her tightly. "Why don't we get ready for your surprise and then on Monday you can tell your classmates what's happening."

It must have hit her that she is leaving U.A soon because she seemed to deflate, "Okay..." she went to go take a shower so I quickly called Romeo, "Romeo is everything going good?" "Yup Mira-nee, I have everything almost ready!" "Okay perfect we'll be there in an hour or two okay so be prepared." "Yeah" I hung up and grinned.

"Everything is going perfectly! Rowen will sail tonight!" I whispered yelled so Wendy didn't hear!

SORRY GUYS! I HAVEN'T UPDATED IN 6 WEEKS BUT IM BACK! I hope you guys have enjoyed the story so far because...*DRUM ROLL PLEASE*...this story is ENDING! Of course, I'll have a second up soon! Also, I'm looking for a co-author or someone to help me. I tend to forget I need to update or get lazy so please HELP ME! Anyways...
