It was a hot, sunny afternoon as West Virginia carefully laid her acoustic guitar into it's carrying case and locked it securely.

Lifting the case over her shoulder; West headed for the door, fully uniformed as she paused for a moment, looking into a small mirror on the wall.

"Is this really happening?"

The dark-haired girl just stared at herself, feeling a flutter rise up through her hull.

"I'm sure it's not like that anyway…."

West just shook her head slightly, opening the door as she headed out of the eagle dorms and into the street.

After a short, lonely walk, she hopped in the water and sailed out of the allied Harbor. She headed out to sea a little ways, then headed to one of the small islands north of the base.

It was a hot one alright as the mountain girl was sweltering in her uniform.

"Damn this heat!" The mountain girl continued on as she slowly came up to a small beach.

"Well, this is it..."

Walking up through the sand, West looked around finding no one as she continued to head inland.

The mountain girl crossed through a small wooded area as she came to an opening with a hill and a large tree in the middle of it.

A small smile crossed West's mouth as she saw a girl standing just below it, her back turned.

"Arizona…."

The super dreadnought's brown hair, sundress, and hat blew lazily in the warm December breeze as her dress and hat were the same colors as her uniform.

"By the look of it, that must of been a custom job, Neosho no doubt."

West Virginia just stared in awe as the Pennsylvania class girl slowly turning with a bright smile and a beautiful pink flower in her hat.

"Hey West!" The green-eyed girl waved wildly, a dark blush crossed West's face now as she lowered her face behind her high collar.

"Hey Zona..." West Virginia said to herself, heading up the hill, the heat unbearable as her face and body was pouring sweat now.

West Virginia began to close the distance between her and Arizona as her legs suddenly felt sluggish. Her red eyes began seeing stars as she saw Arizona's face fill with concern.

"Zona?" The mountain girl asked strangely, staggering as she slowly begin to collapse portside to the thick grass below and blacked out.

"Weevee!"

"Argh what happened?" West Virginia moaned lightly as she blinked awake.

"You passed out from heat exhaustion, I mean really, don't you have any other clothes West?" A voice brought West Virginia back to reality, her red eyes slowly looked up into Arizona's green ones.

"Huh?!" A dark blush crossed West Virginia's face again as she realized her head was sitting right in Arizona's lap looking up at her.

"My uniform is fine?!" West's right hand felt across her chest as she knew something was instantly wrong.

"Ehhh!" The red-eyed girl bolted to her feet to find herself in a sundress a bit like Arizona's, but with her own colors.

"What's wrong? Don't you like it?" Arizona asked lightly as West just stared it unsure what to say.

"I don't really "do" dresses." West Virginia moaned as she held the dress out to the sides and turned in place.

"Ahhh!"

Suddenly the red-eyed girl felt a breeze blow over her body as she realized she was wearing nothing under her dress.

"My bra and underwear?!"

"It looks good on you, just like that mole under your left eye." Arizona smiled offhandedly as West Virginia's hand came up and covered her cheek, looking away.

"Come on West, play for me." Arizona pestered softly, knowing the mountain girl was self conscious about her mole as West looked over shyly.

"Ok, but could you maybe go easy on calling cute and all that?" West Virginia mumbled lowly as she grabbed her guitar out. The red-eyed girl began to sit down as Arizona stopped her and patted her lap.

"Come on, I know you can play on your back." West simply did what she was told, Arizona's gentle hands laid her head on her lap again.

West Virginia gently strummed the strings, adjusted accordingly as she cleared her throat and smiled up at Arizona.

"You know I only know one song right?" The brown-haired Dreadnought just nodded silently as a giant smile across her face.

The mountain girl just shook her head playfully back as she started to play, when her voice rang out.

"Almost heaven, West Virginia…

Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River...

"Life is old here, Older than the trees."

"Younger than the mountains, growing like a breeze…. Country roads...

"Take me home…"

"To the place where I belong...West Virginia... Mountain Mama...

"Take Me Home...

Country Roads..."
