 The Assignment ch13

Michael arrived early, as was his habit the first day of the new school year. He had been surprised over the weekend. The Principal Mr. Planters had a mild stroke and immediately retired. The school board in a emergency meeting had voted Michael the new Principal.

Upon hearing this Michael had called a staff meeting one half hour before school was to start. He was not looking forward to it, at least not the part where he had to see Jessie.

As he had his morning coffee her words kept running thru his head. "How could you just stand there and watch."

Michael still did not have a hint what the answer to that question was. Honestly he wanted to stop John he just did not know if he had the right. As a matter of fact he was certain he did not. Then again why did he watch, why did he not just walk away?

Mike sipped his morning coffee and went over his notes for his speech. One thing for sure it would be short and sweet.

Jessie left Jamie in the playground and told her not to dirty her dress. She asked Jamie again if she knew where she was going when the bell rang. Jamie assured Jessie that she knew where her homeroom was.

Jamie chose the swing to play on figuring it was the easiest way to stay clean. Aunt Jessie was nervous and Jamie could tell. She had taken the news of Michael's promotion a bit on the hard side. Jamie was still trying to understand what happened with Jessie and Mr. John. Aunt Jessie would simply not talk about it.

Carol had told Jamie about the spanking, after she heard her husband and parents talking about it.

Jamie was swinging in her swing when she noticed him. A young man about her real age, he was wearing a tie and looking at Jamie.

Jamie smiled at him and waved. He's cute thought Jamie too bad I am stuck in this diaper. Suddenly the young teacher looked at his watch and realized he needed to head to the meeting.

Jessie was one of the first ones in the meeting room. Just the same she sat way in the back. Hoping that the new Principal would not even see her.

Mike came in and made a speech. Telling the staff that basically he wanted the same great job he had seen from them in the past. He told them that they each would have assistants to help with the diaper changes for the girls. He also told them not to spare discipline for the boys especially if they were teasing the girls because of their diapers. Actually most of the boys had been cured of this over the summer.

Mike ended his speech with the standard my door is always open. Then dismissed the teacher's to go to their homerooms.

The school was sixth grade through high school about three hundred students.

Jessie made her way to her homeroom. Arriving there just as the bell rang. She was more than grateful that there was no confrontation with Michael.

Jamie headed for the school when the bell rang. She stopped at the locker she had been assigned during orientation. Jamie thought it was funny the lockers had no locks. It seemed petty theft just did not happen in Brook Valley. Jamie grabbed her books for her first two classes and headed to her homeroom, after placing them in her book bag.

Jamie took a seat in the back of the class. Just as she did she noticed who her homeroom teacher was.

It was the cutie she had seen outside.

As the students filed in he wrote his name on the board. "Scott Simpson"

"Ok ok please settle down people we only have ten minutes and I have some things to say."
