I usually hid in the bathroom for the fifteen minutes before school started. It wasn't anything new to me, since I was hated by everyone in hell high. They were all the same, in a race to see who's more perfect, to see who's skinner, who's prettier...

I was bone thin, and had been called pretty a couple times, but my social suicide had been trusting someone enough to tell them that I felt as if I had powers. Talk about a freak out, my former best friend, Katie, had told everyone by the next day and I was laughed at.

A flush brought me out of my inner turmoil and I looked up in the mirror, catching a look at the devil herself, Katie. She had changed so much since we'd been best friends in junior high, her hair now bleach blond and her skin the color of a traffic cone left out in the sun too long.

I sighed and splashed water on my face when she noticed me and sneered. She stepped up behind me and whispered softly in my ear, "How're the powers, freak?"

I whirled around, my eyes narrowing, "You're a stone cold bitch."

"Thanks, love," Katie said and she leaned forward to smear lipgloss over her lips and smile at the mirror before fluffing her hair up.

"Why don't you go put a curse on me, Zoey?" She said, smiling her evil bitch smile at me.

"I told you...it's not like that, I just, have influence on things," I mumbled. I had wanted Katie to be by my side with everything, instead she was my worst enemy now.

"Maybe you should just make you a magick poision and drink it, no one cares about you," she said and she turned and walked out the door of the bathroom, leaving harsh giggles behind her.

"Maybe you should sleep with your dad's friend again!" I yelled.

Her giggles stopped and I knew she'd heard me, but I also heard the muffled whispers of other kids..they'd also heard me.

"Kick her ass, Katie!" Someone yelled and before I knew it, I was being dragged out of my hair from the bathroom. I screamed and kicked, wrestling against the hand, but I was thrown to the floor. Katie looked just as scared as me, but everyone was standing around and she wouldn't lose the reputation she had worked so hard to gain.

"You shouldn't have said that you little worthless bitch," Katie said and she sat on my chest, bringing her fist down several times, before long, I blacked out...
