chapter 12

Y/n's pov

"Thank you so much for dinner Mikoto-san",

"No worries, but are you sure you don't want me to walk you home?",

"Don't worry Mikoto-san, I'll be ok, I promise!", she giggled and patted my head.

"Ok Y/n, just don't remember, go straight home, it's already dark",

"Of course!", I looked at Sasuke and Itachi.

"Bye Sasuke, Itachi", I hugged Sasuke, and left. I was jumping from roof to roof.

*10 minutes later*

Finally made it home. Home... I miss that place. I jumped in through one of the opened windows. I'm to lazy to walk to the stairs. I took my sandals off and went to change into my pajamas. It's a cute cat onesie! I went to the room and saw Kashi-San sleeping on the bed. I smiled and got onto the spot next to him. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

*Dream land*

"Y/n! Time to train!", I smiled and ran outside. Father is the best! He said I'm gonna be the greatest Kunoichi! That's a promise I'll keep. I ran outside and stood next to him.

"I'm ready father!", he smiled and patted my head.

"Today Y/n, I'll teach you something cool",

"Really! What is it!?", he started walking towards the lake next to our home. Then, he walked onto the water! No way! "That's so cool!",

"What I tell ya, now come here, it's your turn", I ran towards him and stopped right before I ran into the water. "Listen carefully Y/n...", I can't hear him anymore. He was still smiling and talking.

"...!", I can't talk! Father! What's going on!? Please! Then, I heard a blood curdling scream. Mother! I turned around and saw our house on fire. I turned around and noticed father wasn't there, I wasn't even outside anymore! I was inside our burning house!

"Y/N!", mother! I saw my mom in the hallway. A stab wound in her stomach and blood coming out her mouth.

"Mommy!", I felt the tears coming down my face.

"Y/n, I'm not gonna make it...",

"No mommy! I'll get help!",

"It's ok sweetie, promise me one thing though...",

"Of course mommy...", I couldn't hold back my tears.

"Promise me that, .....", I stared at her as she spoke. I'm gonna miss you mommy. She smiled and put her hand on my cheek. She wiped away some of my tears.

"I promise mommy...", I kissed her hand and ran outside. I need to stop the fire. I started doing hand signs.
"Water Justu: raging waves!",

*End*

I woke up. I don't like this dream. I started rubbing my eyes, but noticed my face was wet. I was crying. I looked next to me and saw Kashi-San still sleeping. I looked at the window and noticed it was already morning. I wiped my tears away.

"You're crying?", I jumped and looked back at Kashi-San. He was now sitting up and looking at me. I miss them... I started crying again. I hugged him and bawled my eyes out.

"I miss them!", I whimpered out. He didn't question me on who. He just stayed with me, hugging back. After a few minutes, I stopped crying. I let go of the hug and wiped my face.

"You ok now?", I sniffled but nodded.

"I'm ok, thanks Kashi-San", I promise I'll make sure to keep Kashi-San safe no matter what.

"Do you want to talk about it?", I shook my head and got off the bed.

"No, I'll tell you later, right now I'm gonna get ready for school", I ran towards the bathroom and started my morning routine.

After getting ready, eating breakfast and scolding Kashi-San for being lazy, we finally started going to the academy. I was on Kashi-San's shoulders while playing with his hair. How does his hair go up like this?

"Hey Y/n, we're here", he put me down and patted my head. "You sure you're ok?", I nodded.

"Yep! I'm ok!", I waved goodbye and ran inside the building. I ran towards my classroom door and opened it.

"Morning Y/n, have a seat please you're two hours late", two hours, huh? How long did Kashi-San to wake up. I ran towards my seat in between Naruto and Sasuke. Naruto leaned in a little.

"I thought you weren't coming today...", he whispered.

"Don't worry, I may be late, but I'll still be coming...", I whispered back. We both giggled.

"Morning Sasuke...",

"Morning", then I focused on what Iruka-sensei was teaching us. It's almost the anniversary of that day...
