Chapter 3

Y/n's pov

We walked in the building. We came up to a door and Kakashi knocked on it until we heard faint.

"Come in". We walked in and their was a man with white robes and a pipe.

"Hello Kakashi, Asuma, Kurenei, Guy, who is the child", I was holding onto Kakashi's leg to scared look up at the man.

"It's ok Y/n, the Hokage won't do anything you're safe here", Guy said while giving me a thumbs up, I nodded and let go of Kakashi's leg. The man smiled warmly at me.

"Hello child, what is your name?", I looked at the man in the eyes.

"Y/n...", I said quietly as usual.

"Well Y/n, I am the Hokage, my name is Hiruzen", I was still kind of shy, so I just nodded.

"Now you four, tell me why is Y/n here?", Kakashi cleared his throat.

"Y/n is here because Yuri wanted her to live a normal childhood", I got bored so I sat on the floor.

"What do you mean, live a normal childhood?", They all looked at me, I started feeling uncomfortable so I looked back at the floor. They noticed my discomfort and stopped staring. "How old are you Y/n?",

"I'm 7...", I said while I kept staring at the floor.

"I can't leave the child, so she will stay here, but she will need a guardian", I looked at him confused.

"What's a guardian?",

"A guardian is someone who takes care of another", I made an O shape with my mouth, but of course they couldn't see it cause of my mask.

"I have a question, Y/n", I looked at Kakashi.

"Yes...?",

"Why do hide yourself?", I just looked at him and shrugged.

"So Y/n you can pick from these four who you want as a guardian", I just looked at the closest person, which was Kakashi since I was holding his leg, and pointed at him.

"Him...", I could see he tensed up and I heard Kurenei groan and mumble something about wanting a child.

"Ok Kakashi you will be Y/n's guardian", the Hokage smiled at me and Kakashi.

"Hai, sir", I saw Kakashi bow.

"Y/n can start the academy in three days, so enough for supplies needed and a little bit of training", I got confused again.

"Academy...?", Hiruzen just looked at Kakashi.

"You can tell her when you get home, it's been a big day for her today she must be tired", come to think of it I am tired, I felt myself yawn after that. I heard them chuckle at me.

"I'll take you home, Y/n", I felt myself being carried, I haven't been carried in a long time so I stiffened. I felt my eyes lids get heavier and after a little the darkness consumed me.

*5 minutes later*

Kakashi's pov

I looked at the child I was carrying and saw she fell asleep, I don't know why but I smiled at the sleeping child. I opened the door and locked it when I got in. I walked to my room and then it hit me 'I don't have a spare bedroom' I placed her on the bed, I guess I'll sleep on the couch. I was about to leave when I felt a little hand stop me, I looked over to see her awake.

"Please don't leave me alone", I was shocked, but nodded. I slipped in bed next to her. She got closer to me and fell asleep, but not before saying goodnight. I looked at her again and smiled, I hugged her closer.

"Goodnight Y/n", and then the darkness consumed me.
