One Thing Right -Sequel to The Best of Our Love(Colby Brock)

Chapter 9

-Brooke-

"What's up guys," Colby started his video. Us and the roommates were spread across the couch, Colby squeezed in between Sam and I. "I'm back with the roommates for another fun video."

"What are we doing today Colby?" Sam asked dramatically. 

"Today!" He smiled. "We're going to have a Nerf War!" I smirked a bit to myself. I wasn't sure what we were doing before he said this, Colby didn't tell us before the video. But I was good at Nerf Wars--same thing with lazer tag. I've got good aim.

"Excellent," I smiled evilly at the camera. Corey laughed to my left.

"I'm scared bro!" He looked at Colby then pointed to me. "She's scary when it comes to these things!"

"Reigning champ bitch!" I gloated, pulling at my shirt a bit. 

"We'll see," Colby chuckled evilly to my right and I gave him a look.

"Babe, I'm about to win."

"I haven't even explained the rules yet!" He laughed turning to me. "It's not what you expect!"

"Fine," I groaned, leaning back to cross my arms. Colby proceeded to explain the rules. 

"There's going to be two teams-"

"Guys vs. girls!" Tara yelled, interrupting him. Colby put his face in his hands and groaned when we all started to agree or disagree. 

"LET ME FINISH!" Colby yelled dramatically, so we all quieted down. "Thank you. There's going to be two teams. It can be guys vs. girls if you want, or we can do it randomly. If you get shot twice you're out, it does not have to be by the same person. If you get shot in the head, it's a one shot kill. No one is going to start out with a gun, they are going to be spread out around the house, so you have to find a gun and ammo. Each team captain will have a go-pro on to record the other perspective. If you are killed, be honest and announce it, lay on the floor, whatever, just make it obvious that you're out. Sound good to everyone?" We all agreed to it sounding fair.

"Haven't you guys already done a video like this in the past?" I asked, looking at him. He shrugged.

"I think we have on a couple occasions, but these videos are always fun."

"Fair enough," I shrugged. 

"Let's get going then," Colby smiled to the camera, then stood up to turn it off. We all gathered into another room after Colby grabbed the go-pros. He lifted the camera to record again once we were ready.

"So we've agreed to do guys vs. girls the first round, the second round will be random and I have a way to do that, but for now. Brooke you're the team captain for your team, and Corey is the team captain for the guys," He explained, panning the camera as needed. Corey and I stepped up face-to-face. He got a "serious" face going, squinting down at me. I simply smirked and crossed my arms over my chest.

"Let's get it," I said. Colby handed us a go-pro which went over my head. I attached it to my head then stepped back with my girls who were all stood in a bad ass way. Colby did a quick pan of us standing there staring the guys down. Then he handed the camera to me to record the guys who just kinda goofed off. I had to resist the urge to laugh while I recorded them. 

Colby took the camera back. "I'm gonna put the camera down then let's meet up front."

We did just that and Colby guarded the gate for a second, getting ready to count down. Once everyone was inside Colby would count down 10 seconds and the game would officially begin. He counted down from 5 and when he got to one we all raced inside. I reached the middle grabbing the smaller gun and ducking back outside. May was right on my heels. We ducked behind Sam's car together. I could hear Colby counting down from 10.
