Chapter 11 - First (Real) Date

Adam's POV

Once again, I walked to James house. Summer was half way over and we've been spending a lot of time together. It was about time I asked him out. I knocked on the door and I saw James' mom. I went to his bedroom and I saw James drawing pictures.

"Hey Jameson, how's it going?" I asked him.

"Pretty good Adam. What do you wanna do today?"

"Well I was thinking that maybe we could go out on another date?"

"Wait really? Sure!" James said. He jumped out his seat and walked over to me. "When? Where? What time?" he asked excitedly. His face was like a kid eating candy for the first time. I smiled at his enthusiasm. "Tonight, it's a secret and 6 or 7." I said. It was all set and I left so we could meet up later.

It was a cool summer night with coal air. I was wearing a leather jacket with a white shirt and black jeans. James was wearing a may blue shirt with blue jeans. The plan was to catch a movie and take him to a star gazing.

"What movie do you wanna watch Jameson?" I asked him. He looked at all the movies and he choose a  horror movie. I have a little nervous but I decided that it wouldn't hurt.

James'POV

I loved scary movies. Adam got popcorn and soda and we sat down to enjoy the movie. It was pretty gorey at some parts and was a bit scary. I didn't find it too bad but as I looked at Adam he looked terrified. I held his hand and he looked at me. He was holding back tears.

"It's ok Adam. Just focus on me." I told him. We shared our soda and he seemed to be happier. For the rest of the movie I held his hand. "Sorry for making you sit through that." I told him. "It's alright Jameson. I'm just glad your happy, now let's go."

Adam's POV

This is it. James and I were going to go star gazing. This would be where I confessed to him. The last time I confessed to a guy, he hated me and made fun of me. I hope he didn't reject me.

James was admiring the stars. "Wow it's so beautiful out here!" he said happily. "Your beautiful." I told him as his eyes sparkled in the moonlight. We both blushed and smiled. "Uh...James....?" I asked him. He looked at me and cocked his head.

"Alright, Adam. Just tell him how you feel." "Look James, since we started hanging out you helped me find myself. It made me realize that I didn't need to pretend to be someone I wasn't to meet amazing people like you. Jameson, I love you." I have him an embarrassed look. This was a mistake... I backed away from him.

James'POV

Adam just confessed to me, I was blown away. "Adam, I love you too. I knew you were good ever since we first met." I told him. Adam got really close to my face, so did I. We were only inches away until my phone rang. It was my mom telling me that I had to get home soon because my curfew was 9. We looked at each other and blushed, Adam looked a little disappointed and so was I but we had to go home.

"This was amazing Adam! When can we do this again?" I asked him.

"Anytime James. I'll always be here for you." he told me.

I looked down. Not gonna lie I was sad to see Adam go. I had an awesome night with him. I pulled Adam close to me and I kissed his cheek. He looked super surprised as he slowly walked away. I went into my room and laid down on my bed. I was so excited to see him again.
