Paul's P.O.V.

I married the love of my life one month later. After the wedding, Violet moved into my house and we lived together in there. Our honeymoon took place in Orlando, Florida since Violet told me that she loved Disney World and hasn't gone there since she was 12. She went with her family during that time and loved it instantly. After our honeymoon ended, we spent a lot of time making music together. Don't get me wrong, I love making music with my band, but I've never done it with Violet. She's an amazing singer and deserves a songwriting partner as well.

This song that we recently finished is very fitting for couples with a happy ending. Violet worked on the music, while I helped her with the lyrics. Even though this song is a solo, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to help my darling wife write it. Anyway, this song is called Ever Ever After. Violet played her guitar and sang while I was on the piano.

Ever ever after...

Storybook endings, fairy tales coming true
Deep down inside we wanna believe they still do
And a secret is taught
It's our favorite part of the story
Let's just admit we all want to make it too

Ever ever after
If we just don't get it our own way
Ever ever after
It may only be a wish away

Start a new fashion, wear your heart on your sleeve
Sometimes you reach what's realest by making believe
Unafraid, unashamed
There is joy to be claimed in this world
You even might wind up being glad to be you

Ever ever after
Though the world will tell you it's not smart
Ever ever after
The world can be yours if you let your heart
Believe in ever after

No wonder your heart feels it's flying, your head feels it's spinning
Each happy ending's a brand new beginning
Let yourself be enchanted, you just might break through

To ever ever after
Forever could even start today
Ever ever after
Maybe it's just one wish away
Your ever ever after, yeah

Ever, ever ever after

I've been dreaming of a true love's kiss...

Ohhh, for ever ever after

The two of us smiled at each other after we got done. "I think it sounds perfect!" Said Violet. "I agree, love. We make a great songwriting team too, don't you agree?" I asked. "I do agree, my darling husband." Violet said. She puts her guitar down as I stood up from the piano. I wrapped my arms around my wife and she does the same to me.

"I'm so glad you're rid of that awful Rotterdam's Syndrome. I was so scared when you first told me you had it." Said Violet. "I know, darling. I was terrified when I found out about the disease and how life threatening it is. But now that it's gone, I can finally enjoy life the way I want. Most importantly, I can spend the rest of my life with you, my beautiful wife." I said. I kissed Violet on her forehead and started stroking her hair.

As the sun went down, Paul and I spent the night outside, laying on a blanket, and staring up at the stars. "Paul, look! I see the Big Dipper!" I said. "Where?" Asked Paul. I pointed in the direction I saw the amazing star shape. "Oh! I see it now!" Paul said. After a few minutes, I sat up from the blanket and so did Paul.

"You know, Paul, looking up at the stars has got me thinking." I said. "About what, honey?" Asked Paul. "That our love is always constant as the stars above. And I want you to know that you'll always have my love to take with you, no matter where you go." I said. Paul pulls me close to him and wraps both of his arms around me. "Same goes to you, my darling. And you're absolutely right, our love is always constant as the stars above." He said.

I nodded at my husband's words. "I'm glad that I met you, Paul. I've always hoped and prayed to find the right guy to fall in love and spend the rest of my life with." I said. "I feel the same way, Violet, sweetheart. I dreamed of finding the right girl, and I found her. That girl is you, love. And I'll never forget when you saved me from my Rotterdam's Syndrome. I love you, Violet McCartney. You're my girl and always will be." Paul said. "I love you too, Paulie. And I'm glad to share my happy ending with you." I said.

The two of us leaned in and spent the rest of the night kissing under the stars. At long last, Paul is free from his condition, and I don't have to worry about losing him anytime soon. Most importantly, I'm especially glad that we both received our happily ever after.

Violet's song that Paul helped her write. In real life, it came out in 2007, is sung by Carrie Underwood, and was played in a movie called Enchanted. Tap the thumbnail to hear the song. ~ Amanda
