Guys this is our twentieth chapter that makes me so happy!

Newt's POV

I wanted to know what was going on, who was missing? I tried to stand but immediately fell over from the excruciating pain, screaming in agony causing the glade to go silent for a moment, long enough to very faintly hear another scream from inside the maze, right inside the maze. Everything seemed to have stopped, everything was still and silent. Within a minute it seemed like someone had flipped a switch and turned the glade back on, the gears turning. Clint came in breathless,

"What the- you shank," he looked tired, annoyed, and slightly humored. "Come on," Clint grabbed my hand and helped him up and back into bed.

"What's going on out there?" I asked the boy, he looked melancholy.

"They can't find Nick," the boy looked at me through his long eyelashes.

"What do you mean they can't find him, has he come back from the maze?" I asked with worry, sitting up too quickly a shooting pain going through my leg.

"We don't know, someone said they saw him on his way to the map room, but no one can find him anywhere, at least in the glade, and the doors are gonna close in a few minutes." I could tell Clint was worried about the boy who I knew had helped him a lot when he first came to the glade.

"Hey, the'll find him," I reassured the boy. "I'm bloody sure of it," he still looked sad, "I promise," he looked up at me.

"You really think we'll find him?" Clint asked me, his eyes filling with hope, I didn't know what I really thought but I couldn't crush his dreams.

"Of course,"

Minuted later the cries worsened as the rumbling of the doors clambered through the glade. I closed my eyes. I could hear a weep leave Clints mouth from the next room over. I could hear Alby yelling. There was a blood curdling scream from inside the maze, close maybe even close enough to make it. Come on Nick, you can make it, Newt thought hoping that there leader would make it back, he had been so set on hoping he hadn't notice that all the voices stopped and there wad only the sound of feet running towards the south door where the cry had come from. There was just a huddle of hoping boys. Another cry came, somehow loud enough to be heard. Nick still had a chance, not much of one but a chance. The doors came closer and closer to closing; a yard, a meter, a couple feet, a foot, too small, a cry, and the doors closed.
