LESSON 1: Who is The Source
Scripture: 1 Timothy 3:16

*Note: This is a topical lessons meaning sobrang daming verses po ang gagamitin.

INTRODUCTION:

Every light has a source, lamp from gas and bulb from electricity. If we are the light of this world then what is our source or who is our source.

We all know naman na si Hesus ang ating source pero higit sa alam natin na siya ang tagapagligtas natin at anak siya ni Maria, sino nga ba Siya?

Without question, this is the great mystery of our faith : Christ was revealed in a human body and vindicated by the Spirit. He was seen by angels and announced to the nations. He was believed in throughout the world and taken to heaven in glory.
1 Timothy 3:16 NLT

Jesus Christ is really a great mystery not just in history but also in our life but the big question here is "Who is Jesus Christ?" and "Who is God?"

Kaya ngayon ang mga tao ay may confusions at sumasamba sa iba't-ibang Diyos.

There may be so-called gods both in heaven and on earth, and some people actually worship many gods and many Lords.
1 Corinthians 8:5 NLT

BELIEFS:

May iba't-ibang klase ng paniniwala.
1. Jesus is just a human
2. There is 3 Persona (Magkakaiba ang Ama, Anak, at Banal na Espiritu)
3. Trinity (A title, God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Spirit. Iisa lamang sila)

Q: What is your backhround about the God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit?

Ans: (Creator, Savior, Comforter)

Let us now discuss each of it.

HOLY SPIRIT

1. God is Spirit

For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”
John 4:24 NLT

Then now who is the truth? No other than Jesus.

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
John 14:6 NLT

2. God speak with the spirit through Christ

For it is not you who will be speaking—it will be the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
Matthew 10:20 NLT

MAN

1. He is growing up

They hurried to the village and found Mary and Joseph. And there was the baby, lying in the manger.
Luke 2:16 NLT

2. Nagugutom siya

Mark 11:12 NLT

3. Satan Tempted Jesus

Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted there by the devil. For forty days and forty nights he fasted and became very hungry. During that time the devil came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become loaves of bread.” But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say, ‘People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ ” Then the devil took him to the holy city, Jerusalem, to the highest point of the Temple, and said, “If you are the Son of God, jump off! For the Scriptures say, ‘He will order his angels to protect you. And they will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.’ ” Jesus responded, “The Scriptures also say, ‘You must not test the Lord your God.’ ” Next the devil took him to the peak of a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. “I will give it all to you,” he said, “if you will kneel down and worship me.”
Matthew 4:1‭-‬9 NLT

- He is hungry and temted for food.
- His ego.
- For fame or greed.

GOD

1. Healer

Then he told John’s disciples, “Go back to John and tell him what you have seen and heard—the blind see, the lame walk, those with leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor.”
Luke 7:22 NLT

2. Provider

As they were eating, Jesus took some bread and blessed it. Then he broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, “Take this and eat it, for this is my body.”
Matthew 26:26 NLT

JESUS AND GOD IS ONE

There is some verses below that proves that Jesus and God is one!

*Note: Please before exaplaining this must meditate on each verse para malaman mo talaga ang meaning nito. Ask God for guidance.

The Father and I are one.”
John 10:30 NLT

Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me.

while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed.
Titus 2:13 NLT

You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror.
James 2:19 NLT

Do not tremble; do not be afraid. Did I not proclaim my purposes for you long ago? You are my witnesses—is there any other God? No! There is no other Rock—not one!”
Isaiah 44:8 NLT

CONCLUSION:

- Jesus is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Those 3 are just a title of ONE GOD.

So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now!
2 Corinthians 5:16 NLT
