"I'm gonna mess up, I mean why would Miss Jenn pick me, who knew this would be so much pressure!?!" Nini thought. Practice was starting and right now Nini was standing outside of the back of the auditorium way too nervous to walk in." I probably look like a crazy person just staring at a door." Nini then soon enough got the courage and walked in.
The first thing she saw was people awkwardly standing around not knowing what to do. "Oh Nini, over here!" Nini walked over to Kourtney and noticed her with Ashlyn, Ej's cousin. "Hey Ashlyn!" Nini waved and Ashlyn waved back. "So where's Miss Jenn?" "She's privately talking to Carlos, and now everyone is standing around not knowing what to do..." Nini nods and looks around.
In the corner of her eye she could see Ricky talking to Big red. "He came..." Nini smiled to herself. "Have you seen Ej, I haven't been able to really talk to him at all today." Nini asks Ashyln, "Surprisingly no, he might just be a little late." Nini slowly nods.
"Okay, sorry for the tiny delay, but no-..wait where's our Chad?" Miss Jenn questions, "He's running a little late.", "It's the first day of practice and he's already late...." Carlos mutters, "Don't worry, we can just start without him I guess?" "I'm here, I'm here!" A exhausted Ej shouts while running in. "I'm sorry, Mr Mazzara wouldn't let me leave class." "It's okay, now everyone get into your assigned seats!" Everyone rushes to their spots, and Nini frowns realizing she's seating between Ej and Ricky. "Okay, before we begin I want everyone to hold the person besides them hands!" "But-" "Do it!" Nini sighs, grabbing Ej's and Ricky's hand. Butterflies filled her stomach but she didn't know why, it never happened when her and Ej held hands but her and Ricky weren't together anymore. Miss Jenn then starts singing, some have confused faces while others, Carlos, looked at miss Jenn like she was a goddess. "Okay now, Carlos show everyone their places and we shall begin!" Carlos nods.

"Ouch." "Sorry..." "Ouch!" "Ricky, it's slide right, one, two, slide left, one two, not the other way around!" Carlos almost shouts, "Okay, okay." Ricky tries again but fails. "Okay, everyone take a 5!" Carlos shouts frustrated. Ricky walks out the door, the same time Miss Jenn walks in. "Where are you going Troy?" "My name's Ricky!" Ricky shouts. "Ricky, wait!" Nini runs after Ricky into the hallway. "Ricky what are you doing?" "I'm leaving, isn't this what you wanted, for me to leave the musical?" Ricky tries not to shout at Nini, "So that's it, you just quit because you can't do some simple moves?" Nini shouts at him. "I'm sorry but not everyone is just like you Nini!" "I cant even dance but at least I try!" "Your a great dancer, your good at everything, you can sing, act, play instruments and your beautiful!"
Ricky and Nini were standing so close together, they were almost breathing each other's air. "What?" Nini says breathless from all the shouting, "I said your...beautiful..."
They were just standing there, looking into each others eyes. "I uh...should go talk to kourtney, see what she's doing..." "Yeah." Right when Nini was about to walk away, she accidentally slipped, leaving her and Ricky to both fall. "Ouch." Nini whispered but when she opened her eyes, she saw Ricky, her eyes widen.
"Nini?"
Ricky and Nini both turned their heads to see Ej with a shocked expression.
