Mr. Freeze's suit was one complex piece of machinery. He needed it to survive. If his body temperature was above freezing, he would die. The cooling mechanism in his suit cooled his body to sub-zero temperatures and allowed Freeze to stay alive.

Freeze busted through a wall of the manor that he had blasted with his freeze gun, and he quickly hurried inside. The King of Cold's heavy feet slammed down on the floor of Bruce's home. He stopped and looked around him as his goons ran in behind him. "Find the diamond!" Mr Freeze said with cold intentions. His henchmen followed his directions reluctantly and they all ran down the main hall and out of sight.

Freeze's red glasses shifted down to cover his eyes, and his front of his helmet darkened. "I know you are there Dark Knight. I see that your body temperature is very warm,"he said as he scanned with infrared vision, "you cannot hide from me."

Gotham's protector walked out of the shadows with a disgusted look on his face. He stood across from Mr. Freeze and their gazes connected. "I knew you would fall for this Freeze. Your weakness makes you predictable." Batman said to Freeze as Freeze softly chuckled.

"And you haven fallen for my distraction, Batman. I'm not your only problem tonight." Mr. Freeze said with a demented smile. Bruce knew he wasn't joking, he could tell.

"You're my problem at the moment. I think you need a trip back to Arkham." Batman said as he started running towards Mr.Freeze. He quickly pulled a batarang out of his belt and threw it at Mr.Freeze, but it was to no success. He simply reflected it off of his arm and said, "Your toys will not hurt me Dark Knight. You will fall tonight."

They both charged. Batman jumped with a foot ready to fick while Freeze readied an axehandle to hit him. Batman connected with his attack and knocked Freeze on the ground, and away from his gun. The Dark Knight walked towards Victor Fries and said "Its over Freeze. You will never win."

"Ah, but you have already lost Batman" the King of Cold said. He immediatly started laughing histericly as Batman smashed through the glass covering his face and knocked him out. Freeze's suit had a cartridge containing the lquid made by the diamonds that powered his suit on the side of his shoulders. When Batman pulled these out, it disabled his suit but still kept him alive.

Minutes later the police were there, and Bruce was back in his suit from the auction. Commisioner Jim Gordon confronted Bruce, asking him what happpened and if he was alright.

"Yeah Im fine Jim. Just make sure Alfred is fine." Bruce told the police commisioner. As Bruce walked away, he realized something. Freeze gave up too easy. He knew something was not right. Bruce had to figure exactly what Freeze was planning, and what he was distracting Batman from.

Bruce headed to his room, changed, and laid it bed. He had a long day ahead of him.
