Eckard was tired, he was constantly in one meeting or another and he felt the pressure of being the heir to the throne more and more every day. One morning he decided that he needed a break and he went to go talk to his father, Ethan. When he arrived at his father’s office he saw that his mother was also present and thought that it was lucky that they both were there.
“Can I talk to you?” He asked them before he closed the door behind him. The looked at him worriedly and once he asked them if he could take a break they agreed and that very same day he set out for a holiday but little did he know that a holiday was far from what he was going to get…
After traveling days through the woods he came across a clearing and in the middle of the clearing was a glass casket with a young looking lady inside. He climbed off his horse and approached cautiously. Once he made his way to the casket, he was about to open the casket when voices called him to a halt. When he turned around he saw seven dwarves behind him.
“Don’t touch the casket unless you want to die,” They told him sadly.
”Who is she?” he asked and they explained to him that she was a princess who ran away from her stepmother who killed her father and wanted to kill her too. She found refuge at their small cavern home but the evil stepmother must have found out where she was because when they returned home they found her in the casket with a dark shadow over her, the shadow said that the only way to save her was to get the key that was broken into three parts and it was impossible for them to retrieve them. Eckard’s heart strings were pulled by their story and vowed to find the three parts of the key for them.
It took Eckard a while to discover the first location of the key part and of course it was in an angry dragon’s cave. He scouted the cave out for a few days to see whether there was ever a time when the dragon left the cave. On the fifth day the dragon emerged from the cave and he rushed into the cave. If he could get the part of the key without having to slay a dragon would be much better. Luckily he didn’t have to search long for the key and he was in and out without a fuss. No he only had to find the other two parts of the key.
The second key was in an ogre den and he had to slay a few to get to the key, when he had the second part of the key in hand he was beyond excited.
The third and final part of the key was a well-guarded palace of a duke and he had to break in because the duke was stingy and didn’t want to part with any of his treasure inside his palace. He was almost caught a few time but luckily he made it out without many hassles and he was on his way back to the glass casket. He put the three parts together, unlocked the casket and kissed the princess which immediately awoken. Her name was Braelynn and she told him about her ruthless step mother and Eckard promised to help her to reclaim her kingdom and he did.
Once the kingdom was reclaimed and the evil was destroyed Eckard asked Braelynn to be his wife and their two kingdoms were united and they lived happily ever after…
