Fangclaw leapt up onto a big tree stump in the clearing. He was restless and his limbs were still stiff; he woke from his weird dream he had yesterday, lying down on top of a familiar hill. His patrol wasn't with him.

"Guys?" he yowled their names one by one but sadly, no response. Luckily, he knows his way back to the camp and hoped that they are there. They were. Walking to the Right-Hand, Fangclaw asked Troutclaw why Foxwhisperer and the others left their leader. Troutclaw explained that he (Fangclaw) disappeared in a snap, Foxwhisperer reported. "he went back to Bluepetal and Yarnpaw and reported what happened," he explained further. After no findings, the handsome tomcat covered a search party, but no luck. "Honestly, they made me their leader after they got tired and quit." Troutclaw remarked, his words at the end edged with relief. Maybe he didn't want to be a leader just yet, to have pressure on his shoulders after an unexpected event. When the original leader shown up, his other clanmates were surprised. Fangclaw should be angry by his clanmates' actions to pick a new leader, instead he let it slide....

"All cats who are able to hunt may gather around the High-Stump!" he cried the meeting words. The ginger warrior hates the phrase, knowing that is an over-thinker. If he got the time, he could make a new phrase. He continued to wait for each clanmate to come over. Warriors and apprentices murmuring to each other. He could see Hiddenkit hiding in the nursery with Minkbounce and her two kits. Twisting his head, he sees that Kitten is still stuck in her den, doing whatever. The young black and white molly is always in her den! Fangclaw cringed as he remember having conversations with her. The young molly's flat tone of her voice... it was like her life has been suck out of her. As he stopped cringing, he begun to  felt a vague sympathy. As if Fangclaw can read Kitten's thoughts, he somehow knows how it would feel to become broken, and gave up life as if he was taken as prisoner and knowing that his friends and family had died....                                                   The ginger leader shook his head violently then returned to study his clanmates below. "Today, I had decided to make new ranks; granted by the Clan Above," Fangclaw announced loudly. Not knowingly, the looks of the Staffs' faces were screwed and glowed confusion when their leader decided to make up a rank without their permission. But they accepted it as the scarred warrior mentioned that it was DeadClan's demand.

"Autumnwind and Rosepaw," the ginger tomcat beckoned his two clanmates with his tail. Fangclaw remembered the tortoiseshell pelt of the angel. But the light ginger fur of the younger molly ruined Autumnwind's pelt as they stick side by side below the tree trunk. The leader watched in pity, but then ignored the scene. As the two stand across their leader, he rose his chin up and ready to announce the ranks. "Clanmates, friends, it has come to my attention that the rest of us are injured," he gave a secret glance towards Yarnpaw, who is messing with his healed ear, eyes full of curiosity. "Therefore, I decided, with the help from DeadClan, to make not one rank but two!" he stepped down off the stump to the tortoiseshell warrior. "Autumnwind, you did a wonderful job for healing Yarnpaw," the old leader praised as he stared into the angel's amber eyes. "I honor you as Doctor of ClawClan, you will use your healing skills to serve your clan." he reached his neck out to pushed his pink nose onto the tortoiseshell fur, whilst the molly licked the leader's shoulder. It felt like a couple of heartbeats since the leader stuffed his muzzle into the Doctor's shoulder. The scent of the young warrior relaxed the ginger leader, but he reluctantly pulled out, gold eyes gleaming embarrassment and dejection. He stepped around to see Rosepaw. He remember Rosepaw as a little kit before ClawClan earned the land, now grown as a small apprentice who was soon to be the Assistant. Her light ginger fur flowing in the cold wind of leafbare. He pulled himself down, matching the apprentice's height. "And you will become Doctor's apprentice: Assistant." he touched the 'paw's shoulder as the small molly licked on the ginger tom's shoulder respectfully.

"Enough of that," he playfully growled, pulling away from the light ginger fur and leapt back up onto the big tree stump. He could feel the burning beams from amber eyes. Ignore it, Fangclaw thought to himself. As clanmates cheered for the two mollies, they went back to the crowd. The leader mentioned that the new ranks will live in the tall grass beside the Staff's den, called Doctor's Den, and then continued his announcements, "Not only we got two new ranks, but there's also a clan other than LeafClan." he let each cat take in the news of another clan. He knows that the time has come, the old tomcat rose his tail to silence his clanmates. "Shocking, I know. I found them when I was taking a walk, it was a border patrol so not many clan-cats," he explained, not mentioning what happened before: finding Hiddenkit, dreaming a prophecy about the kit. "From now on, Troutclaw you will be setting up border patrols to make sure if the other clan -MeadowClan they called themselves-  doesn't trespass our territory!" Fangclaw ignored the gasps and murmurs. The leader rose his tail yet again to silence the murmuring crowd. "That is all for today," and with that, the elderly warrior jumped off the stump, going inside his den as he thought about how proud Jospeh might be.
