Flashback:

16th October 2010

After Sam's death and all the adventures Y/n had with Nathan, Elena and Sully, she decided to leave the treasure hunts behind and look ahead.

Before the treasure hunt, she had started at the police academy.
And now that she passed the academy with five records, four certificates and three gold trophies with her name on it, she became the youngest detective of the NYPD.

Y / n became a detective 5 months ago, with excellent sniper training.

When she woke up and got a new murder case, she immediately went to the crime scene.

She ran to the spearhead, showed her police badge and officially entered the scene.

A narrow alley - 2 blocks from Times Square's Chinese restaurant, where the detectives usually get their lunch.

The alley was mostly a place with stinky dumpsters, garbage bags, and the foul smell from the manhole cover.
A perfect place to kill.
It goes unnoticed at night and there are no cameras nearby.

She approached her team and met Detectives Roman and Lee.
And a female corpse.
She was wearing a tight, tight party dress.
She may have painted the ends of the hair with pink chalk because the color was messily applied to the hair.

The blood on her hand was already dry, so it can be assumed that the victim was killed at midnight

"Who's the victim?" She asked her colleagues Detective Lee and Roman.

"Unknown"

"Cause of death?"

"Four stab wounds in the victim's belly," answered the patheologist Lauren Omellie, who was examining the victim.

"Who discovered the victim?"

"A homeless person. He said that he came here every morning.", Detective Lee said.

"Have you already interviewed him?"

"Yes, but nothing out of the ordinary", Detective Roman said.

"Any further information on the murder victim? Were there any witnesses?"

"Negative, but we found her handbag in the dumpster. There was a prepaid cell phone but no wallet with ID," Lee said.

"Are these tire tracks?"

"Yes, they are currently being checked"

"Are there surveillance cameras here?"

"Yes, but there may be no records because they haven't been used for a while."

"Okay, please check the area around security cameras, maybe we'll know more "

"Roman, go look for bars or other places to party in this area. The victim must have celebrated before she died"

The Detectives nodded and left.

Y/n looked around briefly and found a oldtimer cigar under the dumpster.

She got the investigation team and asked her to pack the cigar.

"Omellie, do we already know a rough estimate of the time of the murder?" Y/n asked.

"I can say more in the lab detective", Lauren replied.

Skip...

"Tessa Valinsky,"Y/n said, hanging a picture on the whiteboard.

"Born in Downtown in 1967. She studied law at the age of 23, but broke her degree and was a teacher at the music school in Manhattan"

"She was married but it is still unclear who this man was.No children"

"Any Family members?" Lee asked.

"More or less. She has a stepsister in downtown. We have already contacted her. She should be on the way. Lee, Roman. You are talking to this woman"

"Okay," they said at the same time.

"Do we already know what time she was murdered?", asked another detective.

"Unfortunately we could not set an exact time stamp, but we assume she was murdered in this alley after midnight," replied Y/n.

"Lee, could you check the surveillance cameras?" She asked him.

But he shook his head.
"Unfortunately not. It has been switched off for years"

Suddenly a red-haired woman came out of the elevator. Her clacking high heels and pink outfit didn't leave her unnoticed.
Defiantly, she moved towards the detectives.

"This will be fun," Roman said ironicly.

"Come on partner".
Lee and Roman took the victim's stepsister and together they entered the break room.

"hey do you know where Detective Anderson is?"
Y/n asked the team.

But they all shook their heads. She tried to call her partner, but he didn't answer.

"Where the hell is he..."

She saw Detective Railey run by and asked if he could start investigating Tessa's husband, but when he tried to answer, another voice came from behind them.

Y/n turned and found her partner. But something about him seems to be different. His other serious look filled with worry, sadness, and shock.

"Anderson, I was wondering when you would show up", Y/n said, trying to ignore his expression.

"Is that Tessa?"
He just asked, staring at the picture in alarm.

"Do you know her?" She asked.

"No ...no..."

He ran past his young partner, took the picture from the blackboard and covered his mouth with his hand.
Y/n saw tears roll down his cheeks.

"Anderson ... who is she?"

"Uh... t-the woman. T-this is my wife"

Y/n eyes widened and stared at her partner.
She hadn't seen that coming.

"Anderson ... I had no idea. I'm sorry"

"I need a moment for myself," he said, wiping away his tears and disappearing.

But why was Tessa's last name Valinsky and not Anderson?
And why was she on the road and not at home with Anderson?

Now she has to find out for herself.
Maybe even without her partner.
