Now that they landed in Madagascar and booked a motel around the corner on the shore, they loaded their luggage off the plane.
Y/n ran into the bathroom and carefully looked at her wound. She decided to wrap a new bandage around it, wrapping the old bandage around her waist and throwing it into the trash can.
She tried, but the pain at her waist prevented it. She winced briefly as she tried to wrap the bandage on her back.
"Hey hey hey ... I'll do it," Sam said as he put the bags on the bed.He hurried to the bathroom and helped her wrap the bandage.
There was silence between them.
Y / n watched through the mirror as she was being treated by her fiance. Is he even still engaged to her?
Are they actually still a couple? There were so many unanswered questions in her head that she couldn't answer herself.
"thanks by the way ... for that ...", she thanked and broke the silence.
He looked at the mirror and looked at her.
"Oh well ... what don't you do to a person you like very much," he said, grinning at the same time.
She blushed slightly. And again the silence came back.
He finished the last wrapping and fastened it with a knot.
Sam lightly grabbed her waist. His gentle touch was like a sudden glow that spread all over her body, causing her to breathe softly. He let go of her waist and cleared his throat, embarrassedly scratching his neck and looking down.
"It must be a dream for you to be in Africa," said Sam.
She turned to him in confusion.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, haven't you always wanted to go to Africa?"
"Yes, that's right ... I wish the circumstances were better," she giggled.
"Yes ... yes you are right. But at least we're all together, right?"
She smiled and nodded.
How much he missed her smile, her smile was so beautiful. More beautiful than any other smile. How much he had hoped for a smile from her in the past 15 years.
He remembered the old teenage years when he was in the orphanage. He remembered her first meeting very well, seeing her pretty smile for the first time and falling head over heels in love with her.
Flashback:
It was one of those nights that Sam did his nocturnal climbing around the entire orphanage.
When he was about to jump down on the other roof, he heard a voice singing. He looked around, but saw nobody and nothing but the rustling trees.
Sam climbed up the vocals and the closer he got to the voice, the clearer the singing of a girl and the music in the background of a ukulele. When he arrived at her and could only watch her from the side, he leaned against the wall of the stone arch, which gave them a view of the whole neighborhood and looked at her enthusiastically.
Sam fell into a trance when she suddenly woke him up.
"Do you like it?", she asked while looking at the neighborhood and blowing her open hair from the wind.
He straightened up and his dreamy smile turned into a nervous laugh.
"What? No ... I mean yes. Yes I did. It was very nice, so the song ... and you. Of course you were nice too ..."
She giggled to herself in amazement and entertainment.
Sam sighed and hung his head.
"Sorry".
He raised his head and saw it.
Her face and the beautiful smile that formed on her lips.
He felt his cheeks turn slightly pink.
"How did you actually get up here," Sam asked.
"The same way as you, apparently"
There was a peaceful silence.
The wind was blowing against the trees and the owls were singing, until she broke the silence."You know ... I can't sleep at night, which is why I always come here to finally be able to dream," she said softly.
"What are you dreaming about?"
"Africa"
"Africa? The continent with the wildest and most dangerous animals? And I thought you girls are dreaming of princes and unicorns," he joked, not realizing that she was serious
"Well ... you probably underestimated me".
She smiled at him again.
"Then why?", he asked.
"Just because I like the colour of the sky when the sun goes down. And I would like to see Simba"
He chuckled by her joke and after a moment of laughter and jokes, they were enjoying the cold and fresh night.
"Why are you actually here?" He asked.
"I like it up here"
"No ... I mean why are you here. Were you ..."
"abandoned?" she replied, her smile immediately disappearing.
"To be honest I don't know ... I've been in this madhouse all my life"
"Have you ever tried to escape from here?" He asked.
"Every day ... every day I think about getting out of here"
"Then why don't you do it? I mean please don't get me wrong, but with your climbing skills you could easily climb over the gate"
She took a deep breath and nodded as she looked back into the distance.
"It has its reasons"
He accepted her answer and nodded.
Suddenly the bells rang."Well that means back to the nest," she joked and was about to leave, but he stopped her.
"Hey ... I'm Sam. Samuel Morgan," he held out his hand.
"Y/n. Just Y/n".
She took his hand and shook it. Suddenly he left a brief kiss on the back of her hand.
She blushed slightly and disappeared with a smile on her face.
