"For some reason today has been a busy day so I need everyone up and moving at all times" Dr Wright demanded as she walked into the break room, clearing it out. Instead of paying her any attention I was busy texting Kentrell
"Dakota how was the little break you had yesterday and this morning?"
I looked up from my phone at Dr. Wright "hell"
She laughed and grabbed a clipboard "I'm glad to know. I might be adjusting your schedule like that a little more often"
"You really tryina play with my money huh?"
"No. I'm really tryina give you a break. Dakota you're too young to be stuck at work 24/7 the way you are. You rarely take days off unless it's forced and sometimes you work overtime. And as much as I greatly appreciate that, you need to enjoy life while you can. Cause once you reach my age.. whew chile"
I laughed and sat my phone down on the table
"But seriously Dakota. I need you to chill out a little more. Oh and by the way.. this is kind of last minute but Jailyn is here early to make up for missing last night. Don't ask why cause I don't know. I stopped questioning that child a long time ago"
"Mhhh"
"Dr Wright they need you in 226" Aliyah rushed into the break room. Dr Wright hurried out of the room leaving me and Aliyah by ourselves
"I'm so glad you back. Khalil was busy as hell yesterday so I ain had nobody to talk to "
"What about kennedy?"
"Like I said. I ain had nobody to talk to yesterday"
"Woah, what happened with y'all?" I laughed. Aliyah pulled out a chair and sat down
"She just had a attitude problem yesterday for no damn reason"
"PMS maybe?"
"So. We all women. If she would've told me that I would've understood"
I shook my head laughing again. My phone vibrated on the table and I sighed picking it up
"Ion feel like arguing. He can kiss my ass" I sat my phone back down and Aliyah looked kind of surprised
"Trouble in paradise?"
"He arguing with his self cause I'm not bout to entertain him"
"What happened?"
"Same thing I'm asking. We was all good all yesterday and this morning but the minute Kennedy texted me asking about Khalil's birthday Friday he just did a whole 360"
Aliyah rested her hand under her chin and puckered out her lips
"Ion know Kota. Do you think you really need to go Friday?"
"I already made a promise to my friend"
"Yeahhhh.. but at the same time"
"At the same time, Kentrell can get out of his feelings. He act like it's just gonna be me and Khalil by ourselves"
The door to the break room opened and Jaylin walked in. While she looked at me I rolled my eyes and turned my head, seeing Aliyah look confused
"So you really gonna act like that because of your sister?"
"You damn right" I told her with attitude in my voice "you was disrespectful as hell in so many ways and you better be lucky I want my job cause I would really fight you right now for her"
