I sat up in the bed looking around the dark room, reaching to grab the first shirt I could find. Once I found one I put it on and the minute I caught a good whiff of the cologne on it I knew it was Kentrell's. I then got out of the bed and went to my dresser, throwing on some shorts and left the room. Diana's room door was wide open and the light was still on which meant that she was up so I walked right on in. She laid on her bed holding her phone up most likely on FaceTime but looked over at me once I caught her attention
"Whatchu doing up?"
"Couldn't sleep"
She laughed while I laid in her bed beside her
"Who that?" A nigga's voice asked from the other end of the call
"Yo momma"
The boy looked in the camera and kissed his teeth
"You must be Diana lil sister"
"Yes. Yes I am. And you are?"
"Her future babydaddy"
Diana scoffed, sitting up a little
"Yeah it's past yo bedtime cause you must be hallucinating or some shit. I'll call you tomorrow when you got sense" she told him before rudely hanging up the phone. I laughed at her frowned up face and she sighed
"That's when I gotta leave em alone. When they start talkin reckless like that. And that ain even my boyfriend"
"Well who was that?"
"Some boy I met in the food court when I was on break."
"Oh lord Diana"
She laughed and sniffed the air, eventually sniffing over to my shirt then looked at it
"That's Kentrell shirt?"
"Who says it ain't mine?"
"Cause I'm not stupid. And I also know how somebody look when they finally get some dick"
I cracked a smile and Diana nudged me a little
"About damn time. I almost thought you been wearing a chastity belt for the rest of your life"
"Oh you got jokes huh?"
"Forreal. I'm glad you gotta boo now cause I'm sick of seeing you do the same routine every day. Wake up, go to work, come home, probably eat, talk a little, take a shower, go to sleep and repeat it the next day. Other than Kentrell coming into your life the most exciting thing that happened was your car breaking down"
I sucked my teeth and looked at my nails "speaking of, I think ima just to work late tomorrow and spend the morning looking for me a new car"
"Yeah you do that. That way you can take harper with you"
"I thought you was off tomorrow?"
"I was. But I found out the general manager coming tomorrow so I gotta go make sure the place look perfect cause ion feel like fussin with that bitch"
I laughed "well you know I got my niece. But make sure you back before I go to work, or else I'll have to drop her off with her daddy"
Diana made a unpleasant face at the thought of lashon
"Even though ion want her over there right now I did actually call him earlier to see if he'll watch her"
"What did he say?"
