"You'll be mine forever."
Her words stuck in my mind. Why was she doing this?
*Agent Tommy's POV*
I walked out of the building and went to my car, dialing Jaspers number. It rang a few times then went to voicemail.
"Hey, Jay. It's Tommy. Listen. I'm sorry to have to do this, but I gotta bring you in. Something came up. New evidence. It may be in your favor to cooperate, babe. All I'm sayin' is if you cooperate with Ryan, you'll save yourself a lot of time, and maybe even a trial. I'm on my way over. Call me when you get this." I hung up and put my car in drive, taking off.
When I arrived at Jasper's apartment building, I could tell that something was off just by the looks. For starters, her car wasn't there. That's odd...her phone tracker says she's in her apartment.
As I made my way into the building, I was greeted with the friendly smile of the landlord.
"Well hello, Tommy! Good to see you, hun." She hugged me. I smiled and hugged her back.
"Hey, Maureen. How are you?" She beamed.
"I'm wonderful, just here doing regular monthly checkups. You must be here to see Dr. Kyle, yes?" I nodded. She frowned.
"I'm sorry, hun, but she never came home last night. Have you tried calling her?" I nodded
"Yeah, but she never picked up. Her phone tracker says that it's in her apartment but her car's not here." Maureen nodded.
"Sorry, hun. Come by later." I nodded and thanked her for her help, and turned to walk out.
I knew there was something off about that agent we met last night. Where are you, Jasper?
