My heart stopped as the words came out of his mouth.
*Flashback*
"Dr. Kyle, I just informed agent James of a new case that showed up at my office this morning. Another body was found." I was surprised.
"Where?" He narrowed his gaze in suspicion.
"You aren't going to like this much, but you don't seem too surprised anyway." I rolled my eyes and looked at him, annoyed.
"It was found in your office."
(End of flashback)
My eyes widened.
"Ryan," Tommy warned. Ryan backed down a bit.
"All I'm gonna say, Dr. Kyle, is that if you're not the killer, someone out there is trying real hard to make you look like the guilty one. There was a small drop of blood found at the scene, beside the Jane Doe. It wasn't the victim's blood either. I had it sent into the local precinct for testing immediately, and we found whose it was." I nodded slowly.
"Okay," I said cautiously.
"Whose was it?" He looked at me with a concerned look, and answered after a few moments of silence.
"Yours."
