*Tommy's POV*
*flashback to this morning*
I'd done some research on that so-called-agent, Lynx Darker. She was not recognized on any database.
"Fake! I knew it!" I slammed my laptop shut and jumped up, practically running out of my office straight into detective Curby's office.
He was startled by my sudden burst.
"What is it now, James? We're doing everything we can to find her." I shook my head, breathing hard.
"I know where she is," I exclaimed. He quickly followed me back to my office where I pulled up the search for Lynx Darker.
"I ran her name through several databases and she came up on none of them. None. Not a single one. She was impersonating a detective." Curby nodded.
"Send me her address, suit up, and we'll go. I can have a team there in 15 minutes. Go." He hurried out.
I quickly texted Curby the address to Lynx's house and opened the file cabernet to retrieve my bulletproof vest and gun.
"I'm coming, Jasper. Hang in there."
*end of flashback*
When I arrived at Lynx's house, I wasn't surprised to see her house surrounded by the SWAT team already. I went up to the chief of officers for a briefing on the situation.
"Is she in there? Does she have Jasper?" I asked quickly. The chief nodded.
"Yes, Jasper's in there with her. She's ok. Calm down. Curby's suiting up to go in in ten minutes." I shook my head.
"We don't have that kind of time. I'm going in now." Without waiting for a response, I drew my weapon from the holster and started for the door. Without skipping a beat, I kicked the door in and signed my weapon.
"F.B.I, put your hands where I can see them!" I shouted. Then I froze.
"Tommy?" I heard an alarmed voice exclaim. Jasper! I quickly pointed my focus at Lynx and kept my weapon aimed at her.
"Let go of Jasper and stand with your hands on your head," I said, calm and firm. Jasper slowly stood up, moving from Lynx's lap, and stood in front of her.
"Tommy, wait, you don't understand-" she was interrupted by Curby running in. He quickly grabbed her and and started taking her out of the house, but she tried to get free.
"No! Stop! Let me go!" Curby let go.
"What's this?" He exclaimed, throwing his arms up. I was surprised too.
"Jasper, what are you doing? She kidnapped you! She murdered your best friend, and you want to stay?" I watched in horror as Jasper hugged Lynx.
"Don't take her," she begged.
