Ice? Why was she surrounded by ice?! New smells entered her nose as she forced herself up, her green eyes widening in the upmost show of shock and fear. Her ears picked up on new sounds she had never heard. She could even hear the movement of the wind...But, how? She felt Hades run his flank against her side but this didn't faze her, her eyes darted around frantically and her ears twitched quickly. New sounds, smells, tastes in her maw, even her aight seemed heightened. She could feel the waves of the earths energy under her paws, the slightest feeling of the wind in her fur.
"Artemis!" The voice rang in her ears, her face turning towards the purple guardian. Her colors seemed to pop even more now, a soft glow of aura was even visible around her.
"What's going on?!" Artemis's didn't sound like her own, panic stricken inside it's walls. That was not like her. Why was she scared? She had to be brave she was the alphess. But why was she scared?!
"We have loosened the wall to the mist. Normal wolves can now get in touched with their inner magic when they enter the land here. When you return home, your pack will be in chaos with those who can't control themselves, you'll need to be strong and teach these wolves to control their powers. You, Artemis, is winter itself. That, however, doesn't shock me. You are strong like ice, but deadly like it's storm." Kirsi stepped closer and closer as she spoke, her chains rattling around the ground and her body slightly transparent. Was she always so sweet through?
"Supposedly I am smoke and it's connections to the spirits." Hades had humor is his speech, as if he was enjoying this new discovering. Artemis was still frightened, she could feel it, the cold within her. She could feel the ice in her veins, but yet in her belly she felt the warmest feeling, like flames. Her belly? Her pups!!!
"My pups! Are they okay? Did you hurt them?!" Her voice echoed off the temple walls with how much it had risen. She received no answer for what felt like hours but was really seconds before Kirsi spoke up.
"They're great, one in fact is stronger than the rest while one shines like the flames at night. Although one..I can't feel her energy but she's there. Her connection to the wall of spirits is greater than mine. It seems your pups will be apart of something bigger than I thought."
Artemis's breath left her chest, her head moving around so her nose softly touched her belly. Her pups had power too? What could that mean? Why was one of them so warm?!
She didn't question it further before looking back at Kirsi and Amethyst, her head nodding without control. "Alright, if I need help I'm coming to you guys..but I will try my best."
Hades smiled before turning to head out of the temple with the rest of the group of wolves she had brought. What were their powers? She gave the guardians a gracious nod before following after her mate, her mind still swimming with fear and thoughts of such untold power that had been gifted to her and her pack. The journey back seemed to not take as long as the journey towards the temple, mostly due to Artemis still be lost in thought about the whole occasion. But when they arrived, just like the guardians had said, the wolves were in chaos. Pushing her way through the group, she hurried back to her pack her ears pinning back as she raped onto the alphas peak rock. Her eyes followed the scared and panicked movements of the wolves, and her heart felt warmth by a feeling drop within her. She knew that feeling now..Kenna. She looked at her belly and smiled knowing what to name the one with the feeling of such warmth. "Kenna..Born of Fire. But a cleanser of my fear like Sage."
She gave a lick to the spot she felt the warmth before looking back up towards her pack, a new sense of strength filling her heart, her stronghold. Her strong pup. "Arrows fly straight and Stone is stronger than us. StoneArrow. KennaSage." She waited for more to wash over her for the third name. But instead she got a feeling of uplifting and spiritual connections, but a small show of darkness reached her. "Like the dark she lurks..but like a nova she lifts you up and shows the spiritual connections. ShadowNova."
Without meeting her pups, she knew them. This power gifted to her gave her the sight of their life within her and this filled her with hope, love, faith. Her eyes widened as ice flowed from her paws and covered the stone she stood over. With a loud bark, pride flowed from her chest and the pack turned to her. Respect flooded their eyes and awe showed in their a gap maws. She was alpha, she was a mother, and she would guide these wolves into a new beginning. "Do not fear! These powers will soon be a part of us and we will control them like we control the flow of the land with our hunts! I will teach you, and with the aid of the guardians, we will become protectors of more wolves to come." Her voice rang clear through the pack, silence filling the cave and woods for moments before barks and yips followed her words. Leaping down, she watched smoke surround her in a show of affection and respect. Hades..his scent covered her like a fur pelt in a nest.
"See? Strong like ice." His tongue ran over her neck as he stood next to her, a sense of dominance flowing between them. No matter what darkness challenged them in the future, they had each other and would gives these wolves the best life they could.
Little did Artemis know, miles away a group of rogues had caught wind of these "gifts". Jealousy filled their hearts as they looked to their alpha in hopes of a plan for attack to steal this magic.
