The sun set over SleepyHallow pack and Sage stood tall beside her brother. Many wolves had begged to join this new pack, those wolves being ones Sage never expected. Blackrosey, Gabriel, the beta named Talon, his mate, Raven, and an warrior called Aztec, a medic named Cybil, and another warrior called Alaska. Arrow had told Sage about a shewolf waiting outside the border called Rizza who also wanted to join. With satisfaction, Sage turned towards Arrow to let him know he could lead them home. Arrow nodded and took his place on a high stone and spoke out loudly towards the pack he and his sister had created.
"As I was meant to be the next alpha in our original home, I will be your new alpha. Welcome to Swiftriver!" Cheers erupted from the wolves, grateful to be out of the leadership of Astrid. Arrow turned and guided the wolves out of the territory, away from Carter and the other wolves. Sage gave Carter a last look of goodbye before walking alongside her brother back into the land that was theirs. They knew the journey would be long and soon they joined up with the new packs beta, Rizza. She walked behind the alphas, her dark fur glowing in the moon light as snow started to fall. The flakes danced around the wolves as they journeyed for what felt like days, the snow getting deeper and harder to get through with every hour and soon they had to stop. Only a day away from the land, Arrow ordered the pack to rest and wait for the morning before continuing the journey. Sage moved to get to know Rizza, the female seemed rough around the edges and rather intimidating with her dark fur and tribal brown marking over her eyes that seemed to glow in the night. Dipping her head, Rizza moved to make room for the ginger female to lay beside her and the two cuddled up to stay warm for the night.
"Your brother is a natural leader. You two did well creating this pack." Rizza had a soft voice but it had a hint of guard behind it. The female was tough, and she knew it.
"Yes, when we get there we may have to fight to get our home back." Sage sighed and laid her head on her paws, watching the snow fall around her.
"We won't have to fight, the land is empty. Amethyst fixed that." Rizza smiled and did the same as the ginger shewolf. With both smiling now, the pack rested and slept for the night, Arrow leaving to hunt while they slept so they'd have food in the morning.
When the sun rose that morning, the pack woke quickly and was back on the journey before the sun got too high. The white of the ground blinded some of the wolves and made it hard to travel, they followed the steps of each other, and thankfully the pack got into the new Swiftriver before nightfall. With Arrows help and Rizza's direction, the pack got settled quickly and marked the borders. Gabe, Sage, and Aztec went hunting and filled the prey den with food, while Cybil and Alaska hunted for the needed herbs for the pack. With the teamwork they used, the pack was ready to settle into their new home within hours and soon the soft noises of peaceful wolves filled the cave and forest. Everything came together well and Arrow was pleased to have his home back since the battle that killed his parents. However, he knew that Krater would hear of the return soon and a battle would rise again, and if it did, Swiftriver would be ready. As the pack ate, and shared tongues all of them getting to know one another to create a tight family, the sun sunk lower in the sky and some wolves went to bed early. Some wolves stayed up longer, mingling and messing around. These wolves showed more happiness in the new life here than they had even shown in the life of a SleepyHallow wolf. Gabe still stayed close to Sage, and Arrow started to show feelings for the female Raven rather quickly. Within days, Raven has left the pack to be more free, but Arrow would still sneak out at night to see her, and the pack was getting more wolves to join by the hours. The pack learned of the magic in the land and many tried to learn to control their new powers and some got overwhelmed and left. Things seemed peaceful in the pack, but that was for now.
