Unknown POV

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
          I grimaced as I removed my consciousness from the human's. That had taxed me much more than I had anticipated, especially considering the fact that I had exerted much physical energy destroying that town.
         I opened my eyes, seeing her pitiful form curled up in the grass, covered in sweat and shivering. I'd had to muddle quite a bit of her vision, and, to make sure the memories remained inaccessible, I left a bit of energy flowing in her brain, blocking neuron connections.
          A cold breeze hit me and I frowned, she'd better wake up soon, or she'd never make it home before dark. A sudden, small gasp had me staring intently at the mortal again. She was beginning to awaken, her heartbeat and breathing, changing. Good, she'd have to make it on her own. Stepping behind a tree softly, I began making my way to my resting-place, to recover some of the power wasted on the town and the mortal. I didn't wish to teleport, as I'd collapse upon entering the old building.
          The old building I had never quite figured out the purpose of.
          It served me well, as, for some reason, mobs seemed to try and avoid it, despite the dark halls. This helped me greatly while healing or recovering energy, as my aura of fear would be dimmed, not...encouraging the undead and infected in quite as large a radius to stay away from me. Despite the human legends about me controlling mobs and ruling them, such was not true, as the creatures of the night would devour me as any human on sight, if not for my warning aura. Besides, they had their own kings and queens, and I had no such wish to disrupt their rules.
          So, they remained in power.
              About an hour or more of walking later, as I crested a slight rise in the ground, I saw the crumbling build, quartz pillars shooting into the sky at odd angles, the roof even collapsed in some places. A town, blackened by fire and reclaimed by nature, sprawled around it. I still had yet to figure out how that had gotten there. Had I done it? It bore my signature mark, fire, and yet I had no memory of ever burning this place. I made my way, uphill, through the town to get to the massive structure, still finding it odd to find so little creatures in the area.
          Upon entering the construction, I felt my legs give out. I grunted in surprise as my face met stone. Hard. I tried to rise, but I could no longer feel my limbs, and my eyes were closing against my will. I knew I had enough energy to make it to my resting chamber, why was this happening!? I fought against the crushing weight of unconsciousness, but I was slowly losing.
          Darkness descended.
          And the nightmares began.
Ava Woods' POV
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

          'My head...oh my head... Good Notch it hurts...'

          Sharp pangs flowed through my skull, boring behind my eyes. I moaned, but the noise increased the pain, so I bore it in silence. I could feel grass squished against the right side of my face and bare arm. I felt exhausted as if I'd run up a mountain without stopping. Hold on, I can't run up mountains...not anymore. Birds were twittering and I could hear the rustling of leaves, smell the soil my face lay against...and the scent of something...less pleasant. I was...outside?
