Chapter 4

The day went just like that thinking why and how the hell he accepted the deal and why he said its because me. 'Mr.Arjun, you really confuse me' I thought to myself. I went to hospital to meet Karan after work when the doctor told me he can be discharged today. I finished all the procedures and fetched him back to home. 

As I entered everyone gathered to ask about Karan and Reena told me a businessman is waiting for me at the office to talk about sponsorship. I was shocked and as soon as I recovered from the shock I asked her "Since when did sponsors started talking to me? I mean I have never met any sponsors before right? It's always you to talk to them?" I was confused.

"Yes Ms.Anjali. I told him that. But he insisted on meeting the owner of this home. I had no choice. I had asked him to wait until you come. And he is waiting since 5.00pm" she said making me more shocked. I looked at my watch and realized it was 8.00pm. He was waiting for 3 whole freaking hours?

 I immediately rushed to the office. I flung open the door to see the back of a young man who looked quite familiar. He was scrolling something on his mobile. I have o admit, even his back was handsome. The man turned to my direction as he heard the sound of the door opening and I stood rooted to the ground in shock. But, he was relax as if he knew I would be here.

"Mr.Arjun, what a surprise. I mean I wasn't expecting you here. If anything you could have contacted the PR department of the company. You didn't have to come until here and wait. You know what I mean..." I kept on talking but he was just looking, actually staring, at me making it more awkward for me. 

Just then I remember Reena telling me he is here to talk about sponsorship. That's when I realized why he was looking at me that way. "Urmm Mr.Arjun?" I said breaking the silence, an uncomfortable silence.

"Ms.Anjali, I would like to sponsor for your home. Just in case you need any sort of funding for the boys, you know for the well being of the boys." He finished.

 "Actually Mr.Arjun, now we are not in any kind of need for money. But, I think you can help us in other way. I mean it will be great if you can offer placement for the boys who recovers from their problem. The boys will do great job. Also they will complete their degree before working so you don't have to worry about their capabilities. Until now we have created more than 100 graduates and about 20 of them works in my company. The remaining are sent to the good souls like you who offered to help them." I finished after a long speech.

I actually didn't expect him to agree because his company is one of the leading company in this industry. And him accepting boys with past like this is close to impossible. Business magnets like him just care about their reputation more than charity. "Sure I can help them with it" he said. 

"Yeah I know its difficult to accept them. Its.... Wait what did you just say?" I looked at him with amusement as I didn't expect for him to accept that easily.

 "I said I am ready to offer placement to some if they are really capable," he said loudly making him more clear. 

"That's great.. I mean my boys wont disappoint you. Thank you for giving them the opportunity they needed." I thanked him wholeheartedly. It was not easy for him to do that, unless he is really kind by heart.

"And also Reena will talk to you about the contract. Just in case you changed your mind later. Hahahah," I tried to joke but he looked serious which meant he doesn't care about my joke. Fine!! I wont joke anymore. 

"Thank you once again. You can meet Reena outside," I offered him out. Just when he was about get up, I stopped him. "Mr.Arjun, if you don't mind can you answer a question for me?" I said and waiting for him to say the word 'Go on'.

 But, instead "What if I mind?" he asked a question I was least expecting. I looked at him for a while before understanding he was joking. His lips curled upwards seeing my reaction. 'Oh Mr.Arjun that was not funny' I thought to myself.

"Haha Mr.Arjun you are so funny. I wanted to know why you agreed to the deal when you were clearly not interested whatever I said yesterday?" I asked trying my best to be modest. 

"Not interested? How can you be so sure?" he asked a question ignoring my question.

 "Come on I may be a rookie in business compared to you, but if I can not even see that, then I am not suitable for business," he looked at me amused as if he wasn't expecting me to answer him like that.

"Actually yeah I wasn't interested in whatever you told me yesterday as you were late yesterday. You were the first to ever made me wait. According to me, a person who doesn't respect their client, can never satisfy my needs in business. But, I was surprised to see you going to a hospital at late night just to see a boy from your home. I didn't expect a girl like you to be helping out others like this" he said. 

"A girl like me? What do you mean by that? Anyway, did you followed me to the hospital?" I asked him amused by the fact that I was being followed without my knowledge. 

"Yeah" he casually replied making me slightly angry.
