Chapter 2

It was morning, and Michelle woke up from her late sleep. She looked at the clock and sighed as it was only 5:00 a.m.. She got up from her bed and put her clothes on, check her bag and shocked to see a letter in her bag, written by her dad. Why would he send a letter when he can just call her?

She took it out and noticed that her letter, was pretty old. Almost like it was given a long time ago. How come she didn't notice this thing? She checked the letter and the almost faded words can still be read, so that's good. She opened it up and the inside was almost faded too. She was about to read when an alarm was making her ears hurt. Tasha stop her alarm clock as Lilith place her glasses on. They were both surprised that Michelle woke up earlier than them. They usually got up early.

"Michelle? How did you woke up earlier than us?" Lilith asked. Michelle only shrugged as they both got ready for the day.

"Girls, I got a letter from my dad, and it looked pretty old. Do you know how old this is, Lilith?" Michelle handed the letter to her. Lilith took it and surprised.

"Michelle, this was years ago. If I'm not wrong, this letter is about 4 years old now. It was in your bag the whole time?" Michelle was surprised. How come she didn't check that out? Well, it was in a very tight place, so its explanatory for that.

"I guess. Should I read it?" Tasha nodded including Lilith.

"Okay then. Here goes nothing." Michelle then read the letter, and was surprised.

Dear Michelle,
Its me, your dad. If you are reading this letter, that means, not only you know that you're adopted,like you already knew, but also, you have a twin sister that made your life completely confusing. The reason you are adopted, is that they didn't want you, but they couldn't risk you dying in the dangerous world. They give promotions to anyone who can take care of you, and your mother and I saw you. She wanted a child so we took you as our own. They told us that we can take her, and we can only tell you this when you're ready. I hope you will understand this. Also, your sister is Julia Cooper.

Michelle felt like her heart stopped for a second. Julia is her sister? How? Then, she realized. Whatever her dad said is always the truth. He almost never lies. Does she has to accept this fate? She went towards her class with her friends, still thinking about the letter.

How can she tell Julia about this?
