The incident

Donnas part~~~

When me and Keithy went home he immediately went Straight to the couch to put on Mickey Mouse but then pass out three minutes later.

I cleaned up a bit in the kitchen first since my mom has no time to do anything at home and just stays at work and sleep with her boss at his place. Then I brushed my hair and brushed my teeth doing my nightly ritual.
I was tired by then and got ready for everything for tomorrow at school. I put on my blue tank top and grey sweatpants and went to bed,
Or tried to go to bed at night. I think I have a problem sleeping. Like when I'm tried I want to sleep but when I actually try I never sleep and end up being tired all the time. It's annoying.
When I was thinking bout that I heard a slight tap at my window and thought it was weird but continued to think, until another tap happened and I got up to see what it was.
I opened my window and looked down to see Johnny cade looking up at me desperately.

"Johnny? It's really late"
"Can i come up? I need you...please."

I heard the pain and shudderness in his voice.
"Yes, of course" I said groggy
Then Johnny climbed up to the window and I put out my hand for him to grab and pulled him in helping him.
Then I saw his face. It was all red and bruised with a slight cut on the side of his forehead.
"Johnny your face! Who did this to you!!" I yelled whispered to him. I could see the fear in his eyes, Like a fish eyes out of water.
"M-my dad,h-he.."
"Oh" I said understanding
I took him to my bathroom and sat him on the counter sink. I got a better look at him and his shirt had blood and rips on it. "Take your clothes off I'm going to give you some of Keith's" I said. "Ok" he said. I walked out to go to my brothers room and grabbed grey sweatpants and a maroon t-shirt. I walked back to my room quietly and knocked on the bathroom door."Johnny you done?"
"Yeah"
I slowly opened the door slightly and put my hand in the creak for him to take the clothes.

I waited for him to change and I came in to clean his face up with my aid kit.
" oh Johnny....If i has the opportunity too I would go over to your dad and slap him right in the face and say every curse word to him I could think of I mean what sick person does that to a sweet handsome man like you?"
I said dabbing the rubbing alcohol on his cut and cleaning his face up.

Johnny didn't say anything to me. He just smiled. And looked into my eyes consuming what I had said. And then he kissed me. Out of no where and then took me into a warm hug thy could last for ever. I felt his wave of sadness and his feelings of emotions. I pulled back and touched his jaw slightly. "Your not going back there johnnycakes, your staying the night whether  you like it or not I don't want that man touching you." He smiled hugged me and pecked me on the cheek. "Donna....thank you"

"No problem"

I don't know what it was but...there was a tension between us. I don't know what it was but it was a comfortable tension. Like everything was just fine if we where together alone. Like nothing else matters. Maybe it's just something else I don't know.

"I'll sleep on the floor and you can sleep on the bed" I said kind of like a Demand.

"No that's not right it's your bed after all I should sleep on the floor"  Johnny said

"No johnny, I don't want you to be uncomfortable."

"I'm only comfortable when I'm with you...so why don't we both sleep on the bed"

We both blushed at each other and nodded
"Ok"

Johnny got under the blankets first and patted the right side of the bed for me to come in.
I did and then he spooned me.
It was quiet. It wasn't awkward or anything but it was a comfortable quiet. The type of quiet that was restless. Then I started to drift to sleep, when I heard Johnny whisper this in my ear quietly

"Donna are you awake?" My eyes where closed but I could still hear him.
"I love you" is what he said. I don't know if I was dreaming or if it was real but he said it. Then we both drifted off into a deep comfortable sleep..

Johnnys part _

When I woke up I had Donna in my arms and I was spooning her. She was still sleeping peacefully and she looked so calm and innocent. Her hair smelled like coconut and vanilla all whisper out across the pillow. When I got up to check the time it was 7:30 and we needed to get ready for school. Two bit never goes to school on Mondays. And it was a Monday. I kissed Donna on the four head ."wake up sleeping beauty".

She slowly opened her eyes to see me and smiled gently. "Hi johnnycakes" she said drifty.
"We need to get ready for school baby"
"What time is it?"
"It's 7:30"

Donna shot up out of the bed making me chuckle and ran to the restroom. "What's the rush?" I asked her "I have to do my hair and my makeup and my clothes and what the days gonna be and...oh shoot! You don't have clothes to change out of ok I'm gonna go go Keith's room and let you borrow some of his clothes" she walked out of the room before I could even say anything. She's such a scatter brain.
