The Entrance Exam

"Call me when you land OK?" my best friend Percy told me as he was saying goodbye to me for the school year.

"I will, don't do anything stupid while I'm gone" I replied

"How can I? You're taking all the stupid with you"

"Last hug?" I asked as he replied simply with a strong bear hug and then waved goodbye to me as I boarded the plane to Japan where I would be for the rest of the school year. The flight there was pretty good I mostly wrote songs. Oh yea I forgot to mention that I'm a demigod. More commonly known these days as a half-blood. I'm half god half human My mom is a human. She loves music, she's a doctor, and absolutely loves the sunshine and summertime. My powers come from my dad but more on that later. I bet you can guess who my dad is. Apollo god of music, poetry, the sun, healing, archery, and the sun.

A while back we learned that Japan was developing powers called quirks and could be anything from sweating acid to flying. The first quirk that manifested was a glowing baby everyone at camp knows that its a child of Apollo. Because of quirks I'm able to fit in in Japan and be a hero there. As a daughter of Apollo My powers inlcude knowing basic first aid without ever being to a class, being incredibly good at archery and music with music comes the fact that when i sing or play an instrument to cirtain things with a cirtain porpous It can affect my oponent , and finally light manipulation I can expel shadows, brighten a room blind someone, make light into solid things(those things are less like solid and more like plasma that I can hold), and heat control. I'd say I have a pretty good set of powers. I can also read and speak Japanese but that's not part of my powers that was due to a class they had at camp.

When I arrived in Japan I found a family standing with a board. On that board was printed my name in Japanese (I looked it up the name would be slightly changed but American names can be written in Japanese) and in English. The man who looked to be the father of the host family I was staying with had long wavy blonde hair and triangular eyes. He looked to be a shorter man standing at about 171 cm (that's 5'7 for Americans). The mother had short purple hair and glasses, her quirk was shown in her appearance as she had two long cords with aux connecters at the end. She was shorter than her husband at about 159 cm (5'3 Americans). Finally the daughter had short purple hair like her mom and triangular eyes like her dad. Her quirk showed up like her moms and they looked to be the exact same or very similar. I walked over to them and introduced myself, they were friendly enough which was nice since I was staying with them for the school year.

We showed up to the house and it was pretty cool. Around the house there was various different pictures posters and autographed items for singers and musicians both Japanese and American. They showed me to my room it was pretty bare but it did have light yellow tinted paint like my cabin back at camp. I unpacked and got myself settled. My bed was in the corner of the room with yellow sheets and pillows. The comforter was sheet music and my main pillow had a sun printed on it. There was a white desk on the other side of the wall that I set my laptop on. Around the room I hung pictures from each year at camp. My first year was a selfie of me and in the background Percy was drooling on the pillow in the medical tent. The second was of me Percy, and Annabeth on a ship. The third was me and Percy at the Hoover dam visiting the dam snack bar smiling and laughing away. The fourth was of Percy and me playing camp games the night he and Annabeth found the entrance to the labyrinth. There were a few more like a picture of me and Percy at the beach, at one of my concerts, a slefie of Percy with me and Annabeth in the background working on our laptops, and one of a group hug between the three of us. I took this opportunity to facetime Percy. "Hey I made it to Japan" I said brightly

"Nice. Is it cool there? Is the family you are with nice? Are you nervous about your exam tomorrow?" He asked curiously

"Yes, yes, and yes."

"Well that's good, and there is no need to be nervous I know you've been studying with Annabeth and training really hard with me and with others you will be the best one there." He said reassuringly

"Thank you, you're the best"

"Yea I know" he said smirking "K I gotta go but good luck love you bye"

"Bye love you" I said as the call ended. I got ready for bed, tucked myself in and mentally prepared myself for the stressful day I had ahead of me and went to sleep. The moment I had been preparing for had come fast but lucky for me I prepared. The written exam went by in a breeze thanks to Annabeth helping me I was one of the first ones done despite my dyslexia just behind a tall blue haired kid with glasses. Then came the practical exam. The loud blonde guy who has a a strange way of keeping his hair up yelled about what to do and how to earn points. As soon as he entrance exam started and the buzzer sounded I blinded a few people (the effect lasts only a few seconds) to get a head start. I immediately fashioned a bow with my powers and started knocking out robots left and right. It really ticked of this porcupine blonde haired kid and he almost fought me but thanks to Percy's training I easily defeated him and ran of to destroy some more robots.I got back to the house and decided to get to know the daughter since she was about my age and I really had no friends. She was in her room so I knocked on the door. "Hey we've never really been properly introduced I'm Baylee Hansen but just call me Baylee" I said extended a hand for her to shake. She took it with a smile 

"I'm Kyoka Jiro and since you gave me first name basis you can call me Kyoka" small talk started out and turns out she is pretty similar to me. Her quirk is called earphone jack and it's really cool I can't wait to see it in action if we both get into UA. She loves music just like me and even plays instruments. To me she is really friendly but has a hint of sarcasm which I'm glad for because I'm very sarcastic and don't want to offend her. We heard a knock at the door of her room she answered and it was her parents holding two envelopes one addressed to me the other to her. I went back to my room to review the mail. Assuming it was probably from UA I opened it excitedly. A hologram popped up and a tall strong blonde and confident man started talking to me congratulating me on my strength and fighting skill. Then finally he welcomed me to UA high. Two girlish squeals could be hear throughout the house and that meant me and my new friend both got into our dream school.
