Midnight announced the Cavalry Battle and told us to get into teams. A messy purple haired guy came up to me introduced himself as Shinso and asked if i wanted to be on his team and I nodded. He had me as the front horse which was weird cause i was the only girl on the team but did I care no. I could easily make a light weapon to defend us with, Shinso explained that we would go after the smaller points instead of the 10 million like everyone else which i think was a pretty good strategy. Then the buzzer rang and Shinso yelled to make me go to the teams with just two people on them. They didn't have too many points on them, but they didn't have too much skill on them and it was a good way to rack up points.
Just then Bakugo made eye contact with us. "Hansen you have to do somthing to get us away from him" Shinso barked and I nodded
"Close your eyes" I said to my team the obeyed and I used a move I had only used on monsters while fighting with Percy. I made myself so bright that team Bakugo was forced to closed their eyes or to look away. "RUN to the left diagnal" I ordered my team as they followed my order. I turned my brigtness down and they opened their eyes.
"Hansen your body temprature is rising are you ok?" I nodded to him and we continued going after small teams. The buzzer sounded
"AAAAANDD YOUR TIME IS UP" Present Mic yelled as Bakugo flopped face first on the floor of the arena and screamed something I couldn't make out. The top four teams were announced with my team in third place with team Todoroki in first Bakugo in second and Midorya in fourth. After the top four teams were announced they announced that these teams would be moving on to the third and final round of the first year division of the UA sports festival. Before the third round there were games and those who made it into the third round could rest and regenerate from the hard first two rounds. I took this opportunity to eat some food, drink some water and call my friends from camp.
"Hi" I said waving as my friends faces popped up on my screen.
"HI OH MY GOSH BAYLEE YOU ARE DOING SO GOOD AND LOOK SO AMAZING" Percy said excitedly as he pointed to the T.V. which showed little kids playing down in the arena.
"Thanks you guys have been on my mind this whole time, I miss you guys so much" I said blushing
"We miss you too, great strategy on the cavalry battle" Annabeth complemented.
"Thanks any tips or words of encouragement?" I asked
"Baylee you have got this you have trained so hard at camp and so far in Japan. You have been through the underworld, the sea of monsters, a cursed quest, and even the Labryinth. You can definitly survive a few measly high school kids" Percy said pumping his fist in the air.
"Just be smart many of these kids are so determined to win that they focus on brute strength and not strategy. I am rooting for you so is my mom and your dad is too I'll bet" Annabeth said
"Go out there shine bright dont get hurt and make dad proud" My half brother Will Solace said smiling.
"I've got to go back now I'll message you guys while waiting" I said waving goodbye and hanging up. Then I walked out to kick some butt and win this thing!
