I Sass the Crap Out of my Dad

This next part contains spoilers for the first trials of apollo book so… don’t worry I wont do anything from the more recent ones, but if you havent read that book yet I’m about to spoil a little bit of it. 

    “Hey, it’s Will. I need you to come to new york now. It's about dad.” 
    “What do you mean about dad?!” I exclaimed. 
    “I mean we’ve got a problem and you need to come here and help” 
    “Okay I guess I’ll be there” I said defeated. Just as I was staring to feel a sense of home here something happens and I have to go back. I have to miss school for a few days which gets me behind, I have to miss my friends, and I have to be separated from Kirishima while I plunge into a possibly life threatening situation. I got onto the plane and decided to put in my headphones and listen to some music. The song that came on was composed by my comfort streamer, and was called “I’m in Love With an E-Girl” (if you know who this is you’re now my favorite). I put the song on loop because it never gets old, and I fell asleep. After getting to the airport I walked over to Percy’s apartment because it was closest and he could tell me what the heck was going on. 
I walked in and sally answered the door with a smile she kindly let me in and gave me a side-hug. It wasnt a full on hug cause she was well… VERY pregnant. I walked into the house to go find percy, but instead i was met with a boy around my age maybe older who had brown curly hair, acne, brown eyes, and was slightly taller than me. He was wearing one of Percy’s old band t-shirts and some tattered pants. Next to him stood a girl looking about 12 she had dark hair cut in a pageboy style with cat eye glasses. She had been wearing some old clothes too, but I wasn’t sure who they were handed down from. I stood there staring at them clearly confused. I’m pretty sure I zoned out because one of them pointed out that I looked ticked. 
    “Uhhhhhhhh PERCY?!” I yelled out looking for him. 
    “What?” He said coming around the corner. He looked at me with surprise. I guess he thought his mom was calling him. He ballreled down the hall and attacked me with a hug. 
    “Duh Perc I can’t breathe and you’re also crushing by healing broken ribs” I said gasping for air and hissing in pain. “So uh, who are these two losers?” I asked
    “Who you callin a loser?” The girl spoke up.
    “You and your idiot looking friend here. Who else would I call a loser my unborn baby cousin?” I asked sarcastically. 
    “She opened her mouth to fight back but closed it after realizing she would get royally roasted. Man, I’ve been spending way too much time around Bakugou. Percy offered us a ride to camp and the tall one started being really winey. Like dude really?! These people are helping you and you’re being a whiney crybaby about it? I couldn’t stand the kid I really wanted to give him a case of corzya, but sadly I don’t have that power. Lucky for me I got to sit shotgun. We drove for a while and when the whiney one would complain about the music Percy was playing I would quickly reply with “driver picks the music everybody else shuts their cakehole” then was met with a high five from Percy. After a while Percy sensed something was up and took an alternate route. 
“What are you doing?” The girl asked
“Getting us near water I fight better that way” Percy said.
“So, youre like aquaman?” 
“I cant go ONE day without hearing an aqaman joke I mean COME ON!” percy exclaimed. Suddenly there was a pedestrian crossing the road obviously not looking where they were going. 
    “Wait I know these spirits!” THe brown haired one exclaimed.
    “No dip they’re plague spirits you idiot which means we don’t want to get on thier bad side lets just stay here and-”
    “STOP! I am the god Apollo. Leave us or be destroyed!” They didn’t like that and charged. I pulled out my spear and Percy uncapped riptide. Boy were we in for a fight. 

   
   

    Pfft you really think I would leave you on a cliffhanger like that Who am I Rick Riordan?!
    “You know now that I think of it I’m well on the way to have killed everything in greek mythology” Percy said
    “You haven’t killed me yet” ‘Apollo’ said.
    “Dont tempt me” Percy shot back. The spirits didn’t like the imposter god (she doesn’t belive its her dad so…) and started to attack. One went after me, but I was able to hold my own until it went away. It charged at me witha fist out and I ducked throwing it off balance. I swept my spear under its legs and it fell to the ground, but it took me with it. It became a wrestling match between it and me on the floor us rolling each one fighting for the advantage. It got on top of me and put its hand on my throat squeezing harshly. I was fighting for air when Fake Apollo pushed the spirit off of me. 
    “RUN!” Yelled ‘Apollo’. I ran so fast that the others couldn’t keep up with me then we made it to camp. 
    When I woke up I was in a bed with a bright light shining on me. Standing over me was my half-brother Will and next to him was Nico Di Angelo. 
    “Rise and shine sleeping beauty” said Nico in his classic sarcastic voice. 
    “Missed you too neeks” I said using the nickname I knew he hated. Will handed me a cup of nectar. The taste was sweet, it was like coconut chocolate cookies and it was amazing. “So, Will whats up with dad that was super important?” 
    “Oh yea Apollo come here!” Will yelled to the side, and in walked the brown haired kid. 
    “Dad!?”
