Going into the training camp I expected it to be hard but not as hard as it was. "Alright today we will be doing some hardcore quirk training" Mr. Aizawa announced. They had a special plan for each person. They even took into account the drawbacks of our quirks, mine being if I use it too much my external body temperature gets super high, I can get heatstroke, and I get really bad sunburns. By the end of this I'm literally going to drop dead no joke. Aizawa tells Bakugo to throw the softball like he did on the first day of school. He stepped up grabbing the softball.
"Man, I bet he'll be able to throw it even farther than before," Kirishima exclaimed. Bakugou threw the ball and it was only a small improvement from before. Everyone was surprised.
"You see you guys have improved, but it's mostly emotional and technical. We haven't really focused on your quirks, and this is what this camp is for, from now on we will focus on improving and maximizing your quirks" Aizawa explained. After explaining all about the camp Mr. Aizawa told each of us about our training.
“Hansen what’s your quirk drawback?” He said turning to me.
“If I use my quirk too much my external body temperature gets super high, I can get heatstroke, I can pass out, and I get really bad sunburns sir,” I replied.
“Cut the formalities. Your training plan will be this, remember the bright light move you did at the sports festival?” He asked.
“Yes,” I replied.
“You will be doing that while using your light weapons preferably yout light archery skills. Every few minutes you will be sprayed down with a cooling gel that also prevents sunburns so you can keep going. As for you passing out we will just wake you up,” I shrugged and went over to start. I made myself a light and started firing light arrows at the sun knowing that it was a good target and that no one would get hurt for me aiming for it. My body started to heat up and I kept going then the cooling stuff squirted on me. I was sweating and burning hot. I could see the sunburns coming regardless of the solution. Before I could switch weapons I was hit. My light went out and I fell to the floor holding onto the right corner of my face. I took my hand off to see that It was bleeding also that the blood was boiling in my hands. I got a bandage and the day was over anyways so I was excused from training.
Getting into the building there were cooking stations set up and there were ingredients set out in each station. I collapsed onto one of the chairs set up and let myself cool down.
“Hy baylee,” Kirishima sighed, sitting down next to me. “What happened to your face?” He asked me to reach for my face but I stopped him.
“Bad Idea to touch me I don't wanna burn you” I said, giving him a look that said ‘sorry’ “Anyways I think I got hit with a rock or some debris from bakugou's explosions that were going off near me,” I said answering his previous question.
“Alright start making your food” Aizawa yelled as the rest of the class trickled in. I obeyed and my group told me to start a fire. All I did was touch the wood cause I was so hot. A nurse came to look over my face once I had cooled down. She handed me an ice pack and told me to hold it there to stop the swelling around it. I’ll have a scar across my mouth for the rest of my life which I didn’t mind at all. That night all the girls wanted to hang out together in the hot tub which I declined and went to bed early.
The next day we did the same training. The Pussycats promised us a surprise that night which turned up to be a ‘Test of Courage’. Nothing could go wrong with a little fun in the forest or so I thought. The truth is I couldn't have been more wrong.
