Amelia's POV
"My husband and Sebastian are out back getting some wood for the fire they should be back soon, but you can make yourself at home," she said nervously motioning for us to take a seat.

"We brought some extra burgers if you guys want," Xavier said rubbing the back of his neck.

"Thank you," she said flashing him a loving smile.

"Do you mind showing me to the microwave so I can heat this up?" He asked and she told him a list of directions and walked off with food into the kitchen.

"How long have you guys been dating?" She asked moving to seat beside.

"Almost three months," I said and she gave me a motherly smile.

"How long have you been married?" I asked and she smiled brightly

"Seventeen years,"

"That is a long time,"

"It is," she replied laughing.

"Do you mind telling me about him?" She asked her voice soft and pleading.

"Of course not, what do you want to know?,"

"How is he as a person?"

"He is a control freak," I said laughing and she joined in. I began analyzing her likeness to Xavier as we continued to talk. She not only asked about him but also took the time to get to know me as well as allowing me to know her.

The approaching footsteps caused us to pause our conversation as Xavier walked in a burger in one hand and a drink in the other. He moved sitting beside me handing me the burger.

"I'm not hungry,"

"I wasn't asking if you were, you need to eat," he said kissing my forehead I took the burger removing the paper from around the top half.

"Only half," he added as I took a bite.

"How long are you guys staying?" She asked Xavier.

"We're leaving tomorrow night," he replied his eyes not leaving me making sure I was eating, what was I going to do hide the burger behind a cushion.

"Oh," she said slightly disappointed and I frowned. I engaged in conversation with her as I continued to eat my half of the burger, Xavier sitting silently beside us on his phone.

"I'm going to check on the boys I'll be right back," she said getting up and I nodded as she walked off. I wrapped up the burger handing it to Xavier.

"Are you ready to leave?" He asked putting it on the coffee table.

"Are you?" I asked and he leaned back looking at me.

"Baby the only reason we are here is because of you, so I'm working off your time," he answered holding my hand.

"Don't you wanna get to know her?" I asked and he shrugged.

"Nope," he replied making me sigh. I shifted resting my head against his chest.

"Don't let this bother please," he said and I looked up at him to see him frowning.

"I'm not," I lied and he shook his head amused his hand moving to chin bringing my lips to his.

"I love you," he whispered and I smiled pecking his lips.

"I love you too," His phone buzzed and he groaned pulling away memories from earlier today flashed in my mind and I laughed.

"What?" He spoke rudely into the phone making me slap his shoulder, he held my hand kissing it as he stood.

"I'll be right back I need to get my laptop from the car," he informed me and I nodded as he walked out. I heard the light chatter approaching me and I followed it to see a man around my-

"Amelia this is my husband Brent and my son Sebastian, this is Amelia Xavier's girlfriend," she introduced and I stood shaking their hands.

"Where is Xavier?" She asked once we were all properly aquatinted.

"He went to grab something from the car," I replied as we all sat down.

"I saw you on a article, billionare's secret?" Sebastian said not completely sure and I laughed remembering the stupid article.

"Yeah that was me,"

"I hated that damn headline," he replied chuckling and I smiled silently agreeing.

"Brent and I are going to work on dinner, call us if you need anything" she told me as they walked off, Sebastian moved to sit beside me.

"How old are you?" I asked knowing he was around my age.

"24," he replied a year older than me.
