Amelia's POV
I placed a plate before Sebastian and Xavier before grabbing my own, moving to sit beside Xavier. We had just returned from the store 30 minutes ago, which was really crowded but Sebastian knew someone there so it was a quick trip.

Sebastian had also mentioned that they were going through a rough couple of months since Brent lost his job and they've been struggling financially. Xavier almost bought the entire store, even though he barely knew the woman it was clear that after everything he couldn't help but care.

"What are you thinking about?" He asked me softly breaking my thoughts.

"Nothing," I mumbled glancing over to him for a split second. He chuckled beside me clearly not believing me but didn't question it further.

"Good morning," Samantha said walking in, we all greeted her as she moved into the kitchen.

"We went grocery shopping," Sebastian announced pointing to the counter full of cereal.

"How much do I owe you?" She asked Xavier and I, sadness hiding in the debts of her eyes.

"It's fine, take it as a thank you for letting us stay here," I said sending her a knowing look and she sent me a grateful smile.

"Thank you both,"

"Where exactly was Brent employed?" Xavier asked sipping his orange juice.

"Whitney's Hospital," she replied frowning, the name sounding fimiliar.

"Whitney's," Xavier mumbled bitting the inside of his cheek.

"I'm the reason he got fired, I bought Whitney's, we had to fire a couple people off the staff while renovations were made, but I will have him re-employed by next month," Xavier said casually, kissing my forehead as he took mine and his empty plate to the sink. She looked at him confused probably by his emotionless approach to the situation.

"He is like that," I mumbled and she turned to face me.

"But until then if you need anything you can call me," I added.

"Thank you," she whispered and I sent her a smile.

"I made you a plate it's in the microwave," I replied and she smiled going for it.

We were now back home due to the problems at the restaurant. The company was getting alot of backlash so we decided to leave early. After seven hours around my desk I was finally in bed, we had managed to calm down the media after two press conference and many other methods of damage control. I had to be up in the next four hours and my body wasn't prepared.

I heard a knock on the door, I groaned getting up knowing it was probably Lesley. I walked towards the entrance pulling the door open surprised to see Xavier standing there.

"Hey," he greeted flashing me a tired smile, I stepped aside allowing him to come in, his hair was messy and he was still in his suit.

"Aren't you suppose to be in bed, Xavier?" I asked amused knowing he went home after dropping me off, I closed the door turning to him.

"I couldn't sleep," he said looking tired as he pulled of his jacket, I sighed moving over to him.

"Go take a shower" I told him knowing by his attire he didn't spend much time at his house since it was the same suit he wore during the seven hours we spent at the office. He kissed my forehead walking off as I moved into the kitchen, pouring a glass of water before making my way to the room.

I could still hear the shower running so I knew Xavier was still taking his shower. I placed the juice on the nightstand before going for Xavier's jacket knowing his phone was most likely in the pocket.
