I had was starting to get bored. Harry had finished his convincing speech and was now speaking animatedly with several others, drinks flowing steadily. I was also done wondering about his occupancy. Whatever it was, it was something that suited his dark character and something that made him incredibly dangerous by the fearing looks of the men.
I had finished my champagne, which I had enjoyed a lot, and was now glancing around the room for the fifth time. When I had done it for the second time, the piercing blue eyes of a blond-haired man stood out. He hadn't stopped staring at me the whole time, as our eyes met again this time. He got up.
With several long strides he arrived at our side of the couch, sitting next to Harry with confidence. Harry's conversation was cut short as Harry's dark eyes drifted to the man.
"Harry Styles." The man smiled back at Harry widely, showing a set of perfectly white teeth.
"Aaron Lynch." He introduced himself, fixing his combed-back blonde strands with an easy stroke of his hand. His eyes flickered past Harry to me.
"Quite a girl you've got there." He continued. My eyes almost bulged out of my head at his confidence in the face of Harry. I awaited Harry's reaction nervously. Would he be angry that the man spoke to me?
My eyes widened even more when Harry smiled back. Not his usual grin but a full-on smile.
"Yeah she's cute, isn't she" He answered. I was awe-struck. Was he sure he was talking about me?
"Nice and small." Aaron continued, making me frown. His blue eyes drifted to me again, smirking and giving me a wink. I did my best not to show my disgust by the arrogant flirting. It wasn't a compliment he was giving me. "Did you get her from Davis? He has been boasting about a fine line of girls for a while now."
Prostitution. The word short through my head immediately, making me flinch and my stomach turn. Disgusting. Were they for real?
"Nah." Harry smiled, putting a large hand on my leg, just beneath the end of my dress. My breath hitched at the touch. I didn't dare to move. "She was an accident, actually." He conversed easily with Aaron, as if I wasn't even in the room. As if I wasn't sitting right next to him while he had his hand on my leg.
"An accident?" Aaron asked, his eyebrows raised. "Lucky. How's that?"
When he met my gaze over Harry's shoulder again, he licked his lips. I could see his dilated pupils, gazing hungrily at me. I made myself a bit smaller behind Harry's large body, avoiding him. He was so open about his desire for me that I could almost read the bad intentions fleeting through his mind.
"One of my men brought me the wrong girl. A beginner's mistake, of course. She was rebellious enough to try and fight him." He squeezed my leg a bit. "Made me want to tame her."
"Nice." Aaron said. A small silence hung between them. "How much?"
My eyes widened and I pushed myself behind Harry even more. I softly fisted the back of his shirt, begging him silently to not say a number. To tell Aaron I was a human and not an object. Harry stayed silent.
"I'll give you ninety thousand." Aaron said when Harry didn't give him a number. I was ready to cry.
"Come back when you triple that." Harry let out a loud cackle as if he wasn't talking about selling me and the whole situation was funny. I didn't found it funny for one single bit. I was ready to scream at Harry in anger but I also wanted to beg him to not sell me. Especially not to a man as vulgar as Aaron. I was also deadly afraid of having to leave the surroundings of London. Once that happened, I would never be able to escape.
Harry stood up, making sure that Aaron knew that this conversation was over, grabbed my hand and started walking without giving me time to stabilise on the high heels. I stumbled after him, right out of the room. Harry lit another cigarette easily with one hand while walking, still inside the hotel. When we stepped outside, the cold air came as a slap in the face that this wasn't a dream.
Harry had just seriously discussed selling me with a man. My heart clenched painfully from my fear. I wanted to scream, kick him and throw a tantrum. Yet, I was so scared to upset him as he could easily give me away. Sometimes I wished I was a bit braver.
We entered the car that was driven right in front of our noses by the staff again, Harry behind the wheel and me beside him. He drove away in silence, only the radio playing a soft song on the background. I was ready to cry.
"You did well." Harry broke the silence after a while. I looked at him angrily, full of hate. I could never forgive him for this.
"You almost sold me!" A sob broke my voice, my emotions spilling out.
"But I didn't, did I?" He reasoned, as if it really was that simple. I broke down, tears spilling over my cheeks, finally letting out all the emotion that had raced through me a few moments back.
"Please never do that again." I begged him through my small sniff and sobs, trying to calm my shaking hands. Harry stayed totally silent.
"Let's make a deal." He proposed after a while. "I will not sell you but in exchange you have to give me your full obedience, always."
He glanced at me for a moment, his eyes dark and daring. My full obedience... That was a terribly large something to ask.
"Which means that if I want you to be silent, you stay silent. If I want you to shoot someone, you do. And if I want a kiss, you give me one." He continued. I wanted neither opposite of the choice. They were both terrible. However, I imagined being passed on to Zayn. The pain I would have to endure was almost imaginable. I shuddered. I could also remember the old man, the one in his sixties, the one Liam was talking to. What if I ended up with him.
Harry wasn't terrible looking. I had kissed him before, not finding it disgusting as he was a beautiful and well-groomed man. He had even held me at night, silencing my nightmares. He had cared for me when tending to my wounds. It was somewhere in him; the emotions.
But all these small thing didn't weigh up to him abusing me, locking me up, controlling me and threatening me. Let alone everything I heard him speak about today, or his way with weapons. He was a terrible and dangerous man. I might as well accept my death by saying yes.
"All you have to say is yes and you'll be mine." He spoke with his throaty voice.
"Yours?" I repeated softly, not liking the idea but also accepting it was the best option, maybe my only real option, right now.
"Mine."
