Emma Smith

My arm was on fire, the flames making their way up to my shoulder. It hurt like hell, so badly that I wanted to scream. But I couldn't. My eyes stayed closed and my body didn't respond to my thoughts. Every now and then, Harry's or one of the others' voice would echo in my mind when they were talking.

I didn't understand. What was going on? Why couldn't I move? Where were we? My last memory was Louis with a gun and the large splatter of blood coming my way. I passed out, but what happened? I wasn't dead, because my senses were still working. My body rocked back and fort softly caused by an external movement. Why didn't my eyes open? Why was I still stuck in the black with no clear understanding of what was happening around me? I just didn't understand.

I was also confronted with the fact that Harry was still alive. I could only imagine what would happen to me once I would wake up. The pain that was erupting from my arm wouldn't be anything compared to Harry. Ultimately, I was the one who caused the shooting. I knew Harry's power.

But I couldn't help myself; I was  somehow glad that Harry had survived.

"Fucking hurry..." Echoed in my head again loudly, making me wince. And my body went along with the movement. I tried to open my eyes, but it didn't work. But I had come a little bit closer to reality again.

My body was still rocking slightly, making me understand that we must be in a car. I was feeling warm, almost too hot. I could feel the sweat starting to form on my forehead.

"I don't care!" Was shouted harshly. I recognised Harry's voice, his angry voice. I just wanted to know what was going on. Then, a moan escaped from my mouth out of annoyance. They must know now that I was sort-of awake and help me. Get me out of this lonely state of consciousness.

Instead, a sharp pain shot through my other arm; spreading a burning feeling through it as well.

Not a second later, I tumbled into total unconsciousness.

"You have to keep her..." Echoed it once again, waking me up from my deep slumber. My body was stiff but stretching didn't work. I was stuck in the half-awake state of mind once again.

"Fuck off." One more echo. The rocking movement had stopped by now. There was nothing now, except the heat. It was so hot; all the time. My body was on fire and I could feel the sweat dripping down my face and body. My mouth was also drier than the desert.

The cooling piece of fabric that touched my burning face came as a relief. It came back several times, relieving me from the discomfort I was in. Slowly, just like last time, I became able to move my body. I opened my lips and sighed deeply. It was way easier to breath through my mouth than through my nose. My fingertips felt the soft fabric beneath me, which was drenched it what I assumed was my sweat.

"Emma?" A voice echoed, closer than before. Harry. If he was here, why didn't he wake me?

"You'll be fine, Emma." Harry whispered. Once again, the burning pain spread through my body from my arm and I was knocked-out once again.

The rocking movement was back. I was done with feeling like this. I wanted to know what was happening. I wanted to open my eyes. I wanted to be able to move. I wanted the burning to fucking stop.

I recognised that the burning feeling in my arm which I was shot in had lessened significantly. It was more of a dull throb. My body was even stiffer than before, but I wasn't sweating anymore. Strangely, I felt almost cosy with the nice warmth engulfing me and the rocking movements. I sighed.
