"nins i swear to god if you change one more time i'll kill you" kourtney said. it was saturday and they were getting ready for bowling. nini had changed about five times now and it was driving kourtney and ashlyn crazy. "what are you supposed to wear to hang out with your ex best friend?" nini asked. "don't forget ex crush!" ashlyn said earning a disapproving look from nini "this, come on we're going to be late!" kourtney said dragging nini before she could change again. as the three girls entered the bowling alley, they immediately found the other group of friends they were supposed to meet. standing there was a beautiful girl with the most beautiful hair. gina. with her, a red headed boy who they assumed was big red. and there was also carlos who they already knew. but seated in front of them was a curly headed boy. he was looking down at the floor, his leg going up and down really fast. he was nervous. ashlyn and kourtney noticed that right away and looked at each other. at least nini wasn't the only one. nini, on the other hand, could only feel the butterflies in her stomach when she looked at him. this was really happening. "hey guys!" ashlyn said as they approached the group, making everyone look at them. gina and carlos went and hugged the girl's right away, making nini feel a little more comfortable. big red joined them soon enough. ricky stood behind. how was he supposed to act in this situation. he felt very out of place, until nini reached him. "hi ricky" she said giving him a hug. being in his arms still felt like home. even after all this time. and ricky felt the same. her hug was always his safeplace. he really didn't know how they just let go of each other all those years ago. like it was so easy. because letting go of this hug right now seemed like the hardest thing ever. but nini still did it. she quickly pulled away before getting too caught up in her feelings. letting her friends say hi to him. this is going to be a long night.
