"hey moms i'm home. i brought ricky with me!" nini announced as she entered her house. momma c immediately came to check it out "ricky? oh my god it has been such a long time" she said as she pulled him in a big hug. "hi mom i'm here too" nini said when her mom didn't let ricky go "i see you honey" "okay, i'm going to make some popcorn so go over there and choose a movie" she told ricky after her mom left. he sat on the couch and started to scroll through netflix, trying to find something for them to watch, until he found the perfect choice. "hey, what did you choose?" nini asked as she sat next ricky, popcorn bowl in hand, leaving some space between them "you'll see" he answered as the movie began. when the initial scene started playing, nini immediately recognized it "BIG HERO 6!! oh my i haven't watched that in so long" "what, why? you loved this movie" "it just didn't feel right watching it without you" the girl confessed looking at the boy beside her. when she did, he was looking at her too. they were stuck in each other's gaze, that is until nini looked away. don't ruin this nini. they watched the movie quietly until ricky heard silent sobbing "neens?" "i'm sorry this scene always gets me" she said looking at him with tears on her eyes. he laughed at her, he thought it was adorable how she would always cry because of the same scene. "come here" he said taking the girl into his embrace. she laid in his chest and he supported his head on top of hers. he could smell her shampoo, it was vanilla scented, the same one she always used. he always loved it. and in that moment, when there was no more space between them and they were both home.

the movie had just ended and ricky knew he had to leave. "hey neens, i have to go" he said in a sad tone to the girl who was still laying on him "do you have to?" she said as she looked up to him pouting "my dad's waiting for me" "oh, okay. i'll walk you out". both of them stood up. ricky collected his stuff as nini waited for him to follow her to the door. "thanks for today, it was really fun" she said as she opened the door for him "yeah, it was. let's do it again sometime" "for sure". ricky stood outside unsure of what to do now "give me a hug doofus" nini said laughing at how confused he looked. as they pulled away from their hug, ricky's hand still on nini's waist, the girl couldn't help but glance down at his lips and ricky couldn't help to do the same. they were caught up in each other's arms waiting for something to happen. i guess it's now or never, it's what ricky thought as he leaned down to kiss her. and although nini wanted this she couldn't. not right now. so she left his embrace "i'm sorry ricky. i can't" she said as she entered the house and closed the door, leaving a very confused ricky outside
