Sam needed to win back Esmè. He couldn't stop thinking about her. She was his last thought at night and his first thought when he woke up.
Sam arrived in work and saw her sitting outside. He walked over to her. "Is everything okay?" He asked.
"Yeah. Fine. I just have an headache. I'll be going in soon," Esmè mumbled.
Sam nodded. He sat down with her. Esmè looked at him. "Your office is inside you know. Can't be hanging out with me," she said.
Sam laughed and sighed. "Thought I'd keep you company. You never know who might come and annoy you," he told her.
"You're annoying me."

Esmè got a shock when she saw Sam walking towards her in scrubs. She had to bite her lip knowing he looked good. "Medical Directors don't usually wear those," she said.
"Thought I'd help out today. Charlie told me you'd need a hand," Sam told her as he stood behind her.
Esmè frowned. "I can manage by myself thank you. I'm not that much of an idiot."
Sam rolled his eyes. He looked at her and smirked. "Just do was you're told for once," he joked.
"Rude much."

Esmè couldn't stop looking at Sam. She was hooked on him and she hated it. She hated how she was giving into him. Sam walked over and smirked. "Join me for a drink tonight. Nothing heavy. Just two colleagues having a drink."
"Except we're not colleagues. You're my boss and someone would think that I'm sleeping with the boss. Which I'm 100% not by the way."
"I know you're not. But it doesn't help that you're biting your lip whenever you're near me," he said.
Esmè groaned. "I'm not. I'm frustrated and you just happen to be close," she said.
Sam watched as she walked off. There was something not right with it. Esmè was backing down. She didn't before. Sam loved Esmè's feisty side. It made her different to everyone else.

Eventually the end of the shift came. Esmè was about to leave when Connie walked in. "What are you doing tonight?" She asked.
"Just going for a few drinks with some friends. Lexie took some time off cause she's ill apparently."
Connie nodded. She adored her eldest daughter. She was making her so proud. "Don't get too legless. You're on an early again tomorrow."
Esmè smiled and nodded. She hugged her mum before she left.

Esmè arrived at the pub where Sam was. She took a deep breath and walked over to him. Sam smirked. "You look beautiful," he said.
"Thanks. Not too bad yourself."
The two of them went inside. Sam got the drinks while Esmè found a table. She took a huge gulp of her drink when Sam came back. "Thirsty?" He asked.
"Just a little. Work is hectic."
Sam nodded. "Yes. From what I remember wasn't almost as bad back then," he said.
Esmè looked at him. "Why did you dump me like I was nothing?"
Sam sighed and looked back at her. Could he give her the answers that she wanted?
