I ran for my life.

The cold breeze blew against my gold fur.

I was running absentmindedly.

Everything is my fault.

If I hadn't move to Brooklyn, everything would be much better.

Much simpler.

Lance wouldn't die.

I wouldn't be rejected by Daniel.

Tyler wouldn't get a chance to meet Victoria.

Makayla would still be my wolf.

If I wasn't born, my parents wouldn't get captured by the vampires.

I whimpered as I ran zigzagged in the woods.

I deserve all of this.

The pain.

But I deserve more.

I slowed down once I saw the water.

The fast rushing water.

Slowly, I stepped forward.

A stray tear ran down my wolf face as I thought of all the troubles that I've made.

"Please. Please don't go," A familiar voice said and something dressed in black from head to toe appeared in front of me.

Chase.

"I love you. This isn't all your fault. Shift back please," He begged. Obediently, I did.

"It's not your fault. It's mine," Chase said, cupping my cheek," If I hadn't killed Tyler, Lance wouldn't be dead. Victoria has been finding out who was your second mate, and when she found out that Lance was, she immediately took action."

"But I can't live seeing you with someone else."

"Don't be sad, okay? Remember all the great things you've done, not the accidental 'bad' ones."

"If you didn't come here, would you have found out that your parents were still alive?"

"If you weren't alive, would you have met Klaus? Would Klaus know who his real parents are?"

"If you weren't alive, would you have met all of us? Would you have met me?"

He had a point.

Maybe a few points.

I nodded my head slowly. Chase's eyes softened and he kissed my forehead. He grabbed my forearm and pulled me into a bone crushing hug.

"Look, the couple has reunited!" The voice is very very familiar.

"Silas?" I said softly.

"Shhh, I don't think so," Chase gestured for me to quiet down.

I nodded and he pulled me in the direction of the voice.

"Aww, how sweet," The voice chuckled.

Chase stopped in his tracks and I bumped into him by accident. I muttered a sorry and looked in the direction where Chase was looking.

It was Silas.

Except he wasn't.

He looked exactly like Silas.

Anyone who saw him from far would think that it was him.

But I knew he wasn't him.

His eyes are too dark.

His face held a smirk as he jumped down from the tree. He ran faster than light and appeared right in front of me.

"Nice to meet you, milady," He said, dark eyes twinkling in amusement as he picked up my right hand and kissed it. I retracted my hand immediately in disgust.

"Who are you?" Chase said, pulling me closer to him possessively.

The boy laughed, the laughter echoed in the eerie woods.

"Looks like I found the third Destined."

"Tell me," Chase said, snarling and showing his long sharp fangs.

"I'm," The boy paused and leaned closer towards me, I wanted to move back, but his arm on my back stopped me from doing so. His sharp fangs was so closed to my neck. I just can't move a muscle, somehow his dark eyes stopped me from doing so.

"Maximus."

Everything happened so fast, even Chase couldn't do anything to stop him.

And that was it, he disappeared into thin air.

His laughter was still echoing in the creepy woods.
