I think I just met Silas's doppelganger.

Not think. I know.

"We better get back to the rest," Chase said, tugging on my arm.

"Okay," I said subconsciously.

Chase tried to pull me along but my legs wouldn't budge. He sighed softly, but not in irritation, and carried me bridal style in one swift movement.

I let out a sigh and rested my head on his firm chest.

When I felt wind blowing against my hair, I knew that Chase had started running back to Alexa's home.

---

"Hey Ally, it's okay," Klaus said, wrapping an arm around my shoulder and hugging me tight.

I nodded and hesitated for a while before I spoke," I met his doppelganger."

"Who?"

"Silas's doppelganger. And your mate's murderer," I muttered, directing to Klaus. I looked up, straight into Silas's green eyes.

I felt Klaus stiffen under me and Chase spoke up," His name is Maximus."

"Maximus..." Klaus said softly yet it sounds deadly, which is totally creeping me out.

"Okay, I have a good news," Alexa announced, trying to lighten up the tension.

"What is it?" Sonia said, stretching her arms.

"I've managed to practice the spell which can change someone's look."

That got my attention.

"We can use the spell to spy on suspicious people in school," I said, sitting up straight.

"Not all of us need it though. Only you, Zavier, Chase and Silas need 'em. The rest of us doesn't go to the school we will be spying on," said Sonia.

"Wait," I said, suddenly remembering," Why didn't you go to school with Chase and Silas? Why weren't you together with them in the forest where I first met them?"

I might be a little nosy but I know Sonia doesn't mind it.

"They got kicked out of the coven two years ago," Sonia said as though it was the most common thing in the world.

I looked at Sonia with a curious look. Sonia's gaze went from me to Chase. He understood Sonia's pointed look and let out a sigh.

"I killed a highly respected vampire three years ago," He shrugged," He was annoying the hell out of me so I just killed him. Silas wouldn't want to stay here at the coven without me so he followed. We came back a month ago because Sonia called us saying that Amanda would accept us back into the coven again."

"Oh. Then why didn't Sonia go to school with y'all?" I asked.

"She hates going to school."

"And she can don't go?! That's awesome! Even though I went to a private werewolf school, girl, I envy you," Klaus suddenly exclaimed from beside me.

Upon hearing that, everyone, including Klaus, burst out into laughter.

"Silas, you must be careful," Alexa said once all of us had sobered," Maximus might be after you. You'll never know what might happen when it comes to a serial killer."

Silas nodded, looking all serious.

"So when are we starting school?" Sonia asked, resting her elbow on the arm rest.

"As soon as possible, which is tomorrow, since it will be a Thursday. I'll postpone all the 'play dates' with the other people," Alexa said, using her fingers, gesturing the inverted commas.

"Okay, Chase will go first," Silas said hurriedly, pushing Chase towards Alexa. He mumbled the last part," I don't want to turn into something hideous thanks to your spell."

She looked at Silas confused before she fully understood what he meant.

"Hey! I worked really hard to master this spell okay! Appreciate it!" Alexa exclaimed, pointing at Silas angrily.

"Okay, let's get this makeover over with," Zavier said, cracking his knuckles.

"I hope I don't turn into a frog," I joked.
