Something’s wrong. I sat up alert in bed, my head spinning with agony. I looked over to Cole who was sound asleep next to me, but I couldn’t budge the feeling something wasn’t right. I looked around the room, everything was in its place, so what could it be then?

I unwrapped myself from the duet and crept out trying not to alert or wake Cole. I walked over to the bathroom and opened the door. I stepped inside the cold tile floor hitting my feet as I took another step inside.

I glanced around the room studding everything as I searched but still there was nothing out of place. I walked over to the sink and turned the tape on, ordering myself to calm down. I filled my hands with cold water and splashed it across my face, making me wide awake.

I glanced up at the mirror and cocked my head to the side in confusion. The mirror was steamed up, a cold shiver ran through my body as I was about to lift my finger to the mirror.

Suddenly, words starting to be written on the mirror, making a slight high pitched squeaking noise like someone was dragging their finger along the mirror.

I looked closer and read. I N E E D T O H E L P Y O U L O V E M O M X. I looked over it a seconded time, the water from my face dripping down into my eyes making it hard to see.

I need to help you mom x. I gasped and grabbed a towel, rapidly patting my face dry, but when I looked back up, the words and steam had vanished.

I wide eyed the mirror in shock, where had it gone? I rubbed my eyes and looked again but there was still nothing there. I looked at the mirror in disbelief it was then I decided I had to see my mom.

I went into my closest checking Cole was still sleeping; it would be easier getting away without him knowing.

I picked out some light blue demin jeans, a white vest top and a almost white but a little blue demin jacket.

I got changed and brushed my hair quickly before getting my black converse and sneaking out grabbing Cole’s car keys on the way.

I walked into the hall way and fiddled with the car keys, my wolf wasn’t happy with my desesion on leaving Cole without telling him where I was going but then I was planning to get back before he woke up.

I ran a hand over my face and blocked her out. I had to see my mom, now, alone.

I walked out of the house and hopped into Cole’s car. I took one more look at the house and started the car making my way to the hospital.

I drove into the parking lot of the hospital and choice a parking space at the entrance as the sky had darkened. I took a deep breath and got out, a few spits of rain falling onto me.

I walked into the hospital and the scent of death made my wolf stir. I walked over to the old looking lady behind the desk and took a look around. It looked kind of quiet for a hospital.

The lady looked up at me through her thin glasses, studding me with concern. “Honey, it’s 4 am in the morning visiting hours aren’t until 10,” The women explained and I looked down at her shocked. It was that early and I felt wide awake, what was wrong with me?

“Please,” I looked down at her name tag. “Dorothy, my mom was transferred here a month ago, she’s in a coma and I hadn’t been able to come and see her,” The women looked at me sympathetically and sighed.

“Okay Honey,” She said and I waited for her continued when she started searching around her desk. She pulled out a card with a chain attached to it. “You are going to need to wear this, so nobody stops you,” She gave me the card and I took it.

“Thank you,” I told her and she smiled at me.

“She’s in room 114, down the corridor and turn left,” She told me and I smiled. I gave her a nod and walked away.

I did as she said and came face to face with door 114. I took another deep breath and hesitated. I couldn’t go back now.

I opened the door carefully as if it would break off if I pushed too hard. I took a step in the room and looked over to bed to see my mother sleeping soundlessly with the faint sound of her heat beat on the monitor.

I walked over to her and watched her as she slept. I didn’t know what I would accomplish from coming here but I knew she sent that message.

James flashed in my mind and I clenched my jaw, he had said my mother loved him, that he loved my mother and me.

“Why him mom?” I asked her still body, but she just laid there. I looked down at my shaking hands and thought of why my life went horribly wrong.

“What did Aunt Tura mean by she doesn’t hate me she hates my father?” I asked her again but I wasn’t expecting a response.

“Leigh?” I heard a weak voice say and I shot my head up to my mom. Her eyes fluttered open as her hand twitched.

“Mom?” I asked my voice breaking as my tears welled up. Her brown eyes met mine and it felt like a lifetime I hadn’t seen her eyes or heard her voice.

She reached up and wiped a tear away that had escaped my eyes. I quickly held onto her hand as if it was the only thing that mattered.

I felt her skin under mine, she was real. I smiled against her cold hand. “You’ve been so strong, I’m so proud,” She whispered and it was hard to understand her.

“I loved your Father, but James made me feel young again, I didn’t mean for this happen, I’m so sorry,” She said a little louder and she sat up.

“It wasn’t your fault, mom,” I told her and she shook her head disagreeing.

“I knew they would come for me some day but I never thought they would do this,” She explained and I looked at her confused.

“Who?” I asked and my mother dropped her hand from my face.

“The hunters, Leigh, the night of the fire, James told me who he was and told me I could be with him but I would never leave my family, he told me he knew what your father was and what you would become, I never thought he would kill,” She stopped a tear leaking down her face. “Them,” She finished her voice cracking.

I stepped back, my family was dead because my mother wanted a fling with a younger man. I looked at her in disgust. “Don’t hate me, Leigh, I don’t have much time,” She told me. I looked at her in disbelief and shook my head.

“When they sent you to Tura, she then knew you weren’t dead,” She paused and gulped. “History will repeat itself if you don’t destroy them first Leigh, Tura plotted against me and our family, she killed us, Leigh, and now she will kill you,”

I stared at her with wide eyes. I had a major overload on information. The only family I had left was going to kill me. I shook my head in disbelief and turned and ran.

The last thing I heard was the sound of an ear piercing long beep.
