A/n: okay, okay, so first up, I'm thinking of doing a 1k and or CNY (Chinese New Year) special. I dunno, what do you guys think? Second of all, Happy Chinese New Year! Okay, time for the next chapter!
And just remember!
Not everything is as it seemsY/n's POV
As Russia pulled into the snowy driveway I looked longingly at the glittering lake, birds landed and pecked at the frozen water which once flowed freely.
"Can we sit outside?"
He looked at me, I looked back at him with large, begging eyes. He gave a long, reluctant sigh, then sat there for a minute, then looked back at me. I continued to look at him with wide eyes. Russia groaned and begrudgingly opened the door."Fine."
I squealed and flung open the door. A smile stretched from ear to ear.
I practically skipped to the bench that was conveniently located in the area with the most beautiful view across the frozen lake. I plopped down on one side of the bench and
Russia sat next to me. The old wooden bench creaked under his weight as if it was going
to collapse.I clutched onto him for dear life, but it didn't break, it just sagged under us.
I breathed a sigh of relief and I heard a cough from above me. I looked up. Russia and I were extremely close, I was practically sitting on his lap. "Haha..." I said, my face glowing bright red. Russia glanced down at me, unfazed, picked me up, and placed me down beside him. His face showing hints of pink."Okay, so. We need to talk about the meeting-"
"Woah! Look at the birds!"
I looked, amazed at the sight of real life birds. These ones had red chests,
"Yes, those are robins but-"
"Can we walk on the ice?"
"Not yet, I need to-"
"It's so pretty! How long-""Shut up and listen!" Russia yelled, tired of my interruptions.
I snapped out of my daydream and shut my mouth.
"Ahem, so. We were talking about if we should send you back to your Father or not"
"What the hell?! After all he's done to me?! Why on Earth would anyone want to send anyone back to my dad?!""Most countries were adamant to keep you here, for your safety and ours. Well.."
His eyes glazed over as he stared across the lake.
Russia refused to meet my eyes and I stood up, held his face in my hands and forced him to look at me.
"Well?""Sorry, there were a few countries that were pretty insistent on sending you back. Я считаю, что это была Северная Корея....Может Германия тоже это сказала."
I let go of his face and gave him an unamused look.
"You know I don't speak Russian."
(A/n: aaaa I'm sorry if you do, just bare with me)
"Yeah. That was the point."
I slapped him gently on the cheek and sat down again next to him.
"Please elaborate. I wanna know, I mean, you were the one who suggested us to talk about...you know."Russia made a groaning sound and I knew he knew I had caught him out.
"Fine, fine цветок. North Korea and Germany uh, they don't want you here."
My heart dropped
"J-just them r-right?! N-no one else w-wanted me g-gone?! I'm safe here, right?!"
I couldn't stop asking him questions and the look on his face didn't help me feel any better. Then something clicked in my mind
"Do, do you want me gone...?"
Russia hesitated but answered me
"Of course not."
This didn't convince me and my mind thought of the worst.Imagine if they sent me back, if they left me, if they abandoned me, if I was put back with my father.
The man who tried to keep me away from the truth, the man who tricked me.
The man who's trying to kill my friends.I sighed and nodded.
"Whatever you say."
Russia looked ashamed and was about to say something- but decided against it.
I wanted to get my mind off this, horrible, horrible thought and my thoughts went to the frozen lake.
"Have you ever gone ice skating?"To my surprise, he nodded.
"Yeah, me and America had our first date here, we went ice skating on that lake....hah, it's funny. He actually confessed to me here. And...well, we broke up here."
Russia's voice went quiet towards the end of the sentence.
I refused to allow him to be anything other than happy so I stood up with a confidence smile plastered on my face."What's with the look?"
He raised an eyebrow but I didn't answer. I grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the large body of water- ice, I mean. His eyes widened when he realised what I was doing.
"Y/n, are you sure about this? You've probably never gone skating. You can really hurt yourself you know."
I giggled.
"I think I can handle it!"My first step onto the ice was easy, considering I wasn't wearing the proper shoes for it. Russia stepped onto the frigid surface after me and slid around in a circle behind me, as if it was just like walking. He made it look easy. My confidence grew and I tried to take another step. My legs slipped from underneath me. Russia caught me just in time and he laughed at my failed attempt at skating.
I made a pouty face which caused him to laugh even more.
"How are you so good at this?"
He chuckled and brought us to the middle of the lake and let go of me.
"H-hey! I-it's freezing cold out here and I can't make it back!"
Russia draped his jacket over my shoulders and skated backwards towards the bank."Showoff"
I muttered angrily.
He grinned at the sight of my sulking face and my frantic arms swinging around, trying to keep myself balanced and from falling on my ass.
"Need some help?" Russia whispered into my ear, nearly giving me a heart attack.
I fell violently to the ice. I waited for the cracks.
Nothing.Russia helped me up and to his surprise, I giggled. Ignoring the searing pain from my backside.
"Can you teach me to skate properly?" I asked him, with a happy, excited smile.
"Of course. You know, with a smile like that, you can melt everything around you. Including my heart."???'s POV
"Status update."
"Subject <$¥> is happy. She's spending time with Subject ;£#*."
"Heart status."
"Happy. No signs of negativity."
"Affirmative. Go back to your base."
"But sir-"
"Obey me."
"Roger that."
