North Korea stepped out the room, closing the door quietly behind him. Y/n had fallen asleep sometime during their exchange and North thought it best to leave her to rest. As much as he wanted to stay with her, he knew she needed to heal.
He dropped to the ground, a smile plastered across his face, while he remembered how calm and sweet Y/n looked when she fell into a state of rest in his arms, how peaceful she looked as he tucked her into his soft, plush bed. North Korea hugged himself, his mind filled with fantasies of how he could whisk the girl away and live happily ever after, complete with marriage and a kis-
"Brother! There you are! is Y/n alright?! We've been so worried! Russia and America has been yelling at me for provoking you like that but I told them it wasn't my fault and-"
North held his hand up to silence his brother. Then stood up slowly, irritated at the fact South Korea had interrupted his thoughts. He never once thought that he would feel this way towards anyone, nevertheless a woman who could cause the extinction of him, his friends, his family and his entire species. And his own brother, South Korea, had the audacity to distract him from his once-in-a-lifetime chance to love.
"What do you need 동생 (brother)? Can't you see I'm trying to think? Y/n is fine. She's sleeping."
"Oh thank goodness!! Does she remember us?! Is she permanently damaged?! Has she-"
"남한 (South Korea) please stop asking so many questions. I can hardly hear my own thoughts over your demonic screeching. Is Taiwan doing alright?"
"Yup! Well, he's been really worried, Taiwan hasn't shut up about how scared he is for poor y/n and I think Russia is getting sick of his sobbing."
North Korea sighed, then facepalmed.
"We need to leave y/n to rest. You want her to get better? Don't you?"
South nodded.
"Okay brother! We should go tell the others so they stop acting so frantic!"
South Korea skipped down the empty hall as North Korea followed behind him, trying to make sense of the feeling that had been tossed upon him. Is this what love feels like? No, he can't be in love. Love would just distract him from what needed to be done. He wouldn't let his emotions come before his work. Before logic. Because emotions are too messy to handle. No matter what he had said to her before.
he would need to start putting the young woman in her place. He would no longer allow her to play around with their feelings, to trample all over them, to take advantage of all the things they would do for her. He would make sure, she knows that he doesn't give away his affection that easily. But deep down, North knew, he had already fallen for this girl. and there is no way on god's green earth he would be able to get over her.
"She's alive!"
South sang, throwing his arms out wide. Russia looked up from his phone. his eyes deprived of emotion and life, but once he heard the wonderful news his dark orbs lit up, the edges of his mouth curving upwards into a thankful smile. America, on the other hand, didn't stop crying.
He was sitting in the corner of the room, sobbing into his hands with Japan putting a hand on his shoulder. Japan looked up to make eye contact with North and gave him a concerned look, darting his eyes between North Korea and the still weeping America.
Taiwan was pacing up and down the room, his face contorted into a irritated look, his brows furrowed, but his facial expression quickly changed into one of joy and relief.Taiwan rushed to North and embraced the tense and rigid male, squeezing his sides. North Korea grimaced, his left eye twitching.
"Taiwan. Let go of me. I know that you're happy that y/n is alright but you're hugging me a bit too tight."
North muttered through gritted teeth. He struggled in the smaller country's grasp, only to be unsuccessful in his attempt. Taiwan may be small, but man, his grip is strong.
"But North! I'm just too happy! If I can't hug miss y/n I will hug you! You deserve a hug because you saved her!!"
Taiwan chirped, refusing to let go of the agitated country he had detained in his small, but strong arms. His arms tightened around North's waist and eventually South Korea had to pry the small male country off of his brother.
"About time."
North hissed, lightly rubbing the bruises that were left behind by Taiwan. He rolled his eyes and made his way to the kitchen, plucking the bloody knife from wall and half heartedly tossing it into the sink, causing a loud clang.
He then grabbed a cloth, wettened it underneath the tap, then turned back to the area in which the accident had taken place. Dried blood and blood stains were scattered across the kitchen, some from when y/n got hit, and some from when they carried her upstairs to take care of her wound. He sat down to focus on the biggest blood splatter.
Of course his mind wandered to y/n. Her beautiful face was all he could think about, to him, everything about her was perfect. Her glowing smile, her smooth, soft, h/c hair, her clear s/c skin. Hell, even when she was in pain she was pretty.
His fantasies were once again interrupted by someone. North groaned in annoyance, pinched the ridge of his nose then glanced up. Russia leaned against the doorframe, analyzing him, an intrigued facial expression upon his coloured face.
"The fuck do you want?!"
North half yelled, his fists gripped tightly around the cloth.
"Jesus North Korea, calm the hell down. You're loosing your shit dude."
Russia chuckled, walking past North and grabbing another cloth, made it damp, and joined North Korea on the floor.
"You don't need to help me. I think I can handle cleaning up some blood by myself."
"It doesn't hurt to help. Plus, its gonna take a while for you to clean up all...this."
Russia gestured towards the mess
"...Fine, just don't talk to me."
"Sure. I won't interrupt whatever you're thinking about."
Russia teased, a grin plastered on his face. North rolled his eyes and went back to cleaning. North immediately went back to his fantasies, a giddy smile from ear to ear.
"Wha'cha thinking about?"
Russia snickered in a childish tone. Shoving his shoulder gently to the side. North's head snapped back in Russia's direction, glaring at him with disgust and annoyance in his eyes. Yet his face was redder than a fire truck
"None of your business! J-just focus on c-cleaning!"
He stuttered turning his attention back to the blood stains. Russia burst into laughter, punching the floor with his fists. After a few minutes he stopped laughing, and wiped his eyes. still sniggering.
"The hell are you laughing at?"
"Oh nothing, just your pathetic attempt at covering up that you're thinking about your crush. I wanna know who you're thinking about. I didn't know you even had the ability to love, I mean, you are an asshole, sooo-"
"Fuck off! Jesus Christ! I don't have a crush! I-I'm just sick!"
Russia laughed again. Then stood up.
"Welp, you were right. I didn't need to help you. so I won't. I'm gonna go check on my Sunflower. She's in your room right?"
North Korea shrugged. Russia was about to say something else but was interrupted by a small voice calling out.
"Guys...?"
