08. Reincarnation

Tengen soon found [name]'s body that had cracks in them and deadly wounds. He knelt beside it and carried it gently in his arms, as the other demon slayers gathered behind him, keeping a certain distance. Tears started to run down his face as he hugged the dead body of the Shadow Pillar, the one he loves so much.

"You knew... You knew..." he cried out as the letter flew away from his hold as a strong wind blew. Sanemi then grabbed hold of it as it flew towards him, and he read it.

"I love you too, Tengen. See you in the next life," was what [name] had written for Tengen.

"Uzui-san, look," Tanjiro called out and Tengen looked up to where Tanjiro was pointing. Everybody was able to see the faint image of [name] smiling as she held hands with her mother and father, running towards the Akane clan who was standing beside the Ubuyashiki Family as well.

Tengen soon opened his eyes as he dreamt of [name] once more. Whether was it fate or destiny, he didn't know for now he was an art teacher at Kimetsu Academy. He looked to the side, only to sigh in response. Day and night he had been wishing that [name] would be right next to him when he was awake, but sadly she wasn't.

He frowned when his phone started to ring and it showed none other than Sanemi's name on it. He sighed as he remembered how Sanemi was in his past life, and even Sanemi remembered the past of his own life, being the Wind Pillar.

"What?" he asked the moment he answered the phone, and Tengen swore he could see Sanemi scowling in response like he always does.

"Where the fuck are you?! School's starting and Ubuyashiki-san is asking for you!" and Tengen's eyes then widened when he realized he was late. He immediately got up and started to wash up, dressing in his usual outfit which consists of a pair of black skinny jeans ripped at the knees, and a white sleeveless top, accompanied with a jacket with its hood covering his head along with his usual white head-wrap that he often wore during his times as a demon slayer.

He immediately bolt right out of his apartment and entered his car in a rush manner, speeding down the street in a flamboyant manner.

[name]'s head started to hurt badly when she woke up from the same dream she had. She then realized her plane had just touched down, and she turned to look around. Everybody on the plane soon started to move, getting their hand-carry bags and walking out of the plane.

[name] soon got out of the plane, and even much more sooner out of the arrival hall. She then looked around, a little confused about the area as it had been a good 10 years ever since she moved from her hometown to another prefecture that needed her to fly.

But soon she graduated high school and had found a job back in her hometown instead. Looking at the piece of paper indicating where she was going to stay, she soon looked through the directions on the map that was stationed outside the airport, and she smiled slightly.

She soon hailed a cab, and eventually, it took her to her destination.

She then walked up the stairs of the new apartment she was going to stay in. It was merely just a two-story building whereas her apartment was on the higher floor.

She then realized in total, there were only 4 apartments. Two on the lower floor, and two on the upper floor. She then shrugged her shoulders and started to punch in the numbers into the keypad to unlock the door. [name] then looked around her new apartment. Clear white walls with sleek black furniture, just a modern look that she loves so much.
