"well done dot, I'm so proud of you. I love you so much"
Joe smiled at dianne still holding a her hand tightly.

It was seconds after their son had been brought into the world. Joe had managed to get a small glance at his newborn son before nurses took him away to be checked. It had only been a minute since he was out and he was placed on diannes chest for the first time. The expression on not just her but joes faces where just indescribable. They were both so happy they had brought a child into the world together, one they had made. It was part of them. Lived in dianne for nine months and now they were face to face with their first child.

"joe look he's got your eyes"
Dianne smiled

"he does, he's your facial features though. He looks more like you than me and your beautiful"
Joe told her which made diannes smile wider

They stared at their son in awe. They had made him. He was a bit of joe and a bit of dianne. He had big blue eyes like joe and lots of brown hair like diannes natural look. Just a beautiful mixture of them both.

A couple of hours later now and there were still no visitors so Joe and dianne thought this was a perfect time to think of a name for their baby.
Dianne particularly loved the name sonny but Joe really liked grey. They shuffled around with a thew other names and decided on a final decision.

It was perfect for their son. The perfect name for the perfect baby. This was when they got the call from Tracey to say that she was in the hospital carpark and was on her way up. This was a big moment for Tracey, as this was her first grandchild. She was expecting Zoe and Alfie to have kids year heifre joe and dianne even start thinking about kids but they still haven't had any children yet been together 11 years. But Tracey was exited to meet sonny and be that caring grandmother she wanted to be.

She knocked on the door that Joe, dianne and sonny was in and Joe let her in the room. She walked over to dianne who was layed in the hospital bed with sonny in her arms.

"oh my goodness dianne, he's beautiful"
She exclaimed looking down at him

"thank you, I think he'd like a snuggle with nana"
Dianne smiled as she passed sonny to Tracey careful

Tracey held sonny smiling widly at gin joe and dianne also smiling watching.

"I love him, he's amazing"
Joe's mum said as sonny fell asleep in her arms

"thanks mum"
Joe said beaming

Joe looked towards dianne bringing her closer to him. Dianne buried her head into joes chest.

"I'm so... Proud of you"
He said softly

"I'm so happy"
She replied holding onto him tightly

This was the best thing to ever happen to them both
