After arriving in Australia, Mark picked joe and dianne up from the airport and were driving them home to spend Christmas 2020 with them. Joe by now had met most of dianne family from the previous Christmas or at Mel and andrews wedding which had happened earlier that year and was exited to see them all again and spend Christmas dwn under

Ariving at diannes childhood home, rina ran up to her daughter and Joe hugging them both instantly and then hugging diannes brothers and their wife's. They say down together in the loving room and catching up before they heard the patter of footsteps coming down the stairs. The adults went silent and turned they're heads to the kids, mia and Billy who were standing at the doorway. Dianne smiled at them, mia and Billy running up to her and dianne hugging them both tightly.

"I've missed you both so so so much"
Dianne smiled letting go of the hug the had been holding.

"but aren't you supposed to be in bed"
Dianne added the kids smiling knowing that for the past 3 hours when they had been put to bed they had been awake planning to see aunty dot and uncle Joe that night instead of waiting till the morning. This had made them extremely tired but they wanted to see joe and dianne so it was worth it.

"but we heard you come in and we wanted to see you"
Billy replied to diannes comment about them being in bed

"awwww, your so sweet both of you are."
Dianne cuddled them joe joining in snuggling into dianne.

"so now you've seen aunty dot and uncle Joe, shall we put you back to bed?"
Anabella suggested knowing that in the morning both kids would be exhausted and they didn't want that as it was the last week of school for them before breaking up for the school holidays.
Mia and Billy shook they're heads wanting to stay up with their aunty and uncle but that was when dianne suggested that she could take them back up. Both of them were exited but dianne stood up telling them that they had to go to sleep. They walked up the stairs dianne following them and walking into Billy's bedroom first. It was a big six bedroom house which the family moved into when dianne was 4. Billy's bedroom used to be andrews and it reminded her of being at home all the time, spending time with her family and the amazing childhood she had. Mia made her way to her room and sat in bed waiting for Billy to go to sleep so that dianne could go and out her down for the night. It didn't take long for Billy to fall asleep and dianne kissed his forehead before turning off the light and shutting his bedroom door before walking along to mia who had her door wide open with the light on. Dianne walked in quietly, hoping she wouldn't wake Billy up and shut mias door sitting on the bed next to her.

"I've missed you so much aunty dot. And I missed uncle Joe"
Mia said hugging dianne again

Beofre dianne left Australia, her and Mia always had that strong bond. She loved Billy but there was something she had with Mia which she didn't have for Billy. Being her first neice and only neice for now dianne was incredibly exited when she was born. 20 year old dianne rushed into the hospital the day she was born and picked her up for the first time. And since then they sort of just clicked. They shared a love for dance which brought them closer and when dianne moved to the UK mia was very upset as was Billy and it was hard for both the kids who were 6 and 3 at the time. But dianne came back every year for Christmas and they would always spend some quality time together, dianne, mia and Billy. She'd always take them out somewhere nice by themselves and have a good aunty catchup. And in the Christmas of 2018 when dianne came home and took them out to a cute little cafe and to the beach, the news that dianne had found someone came tomia with excitement. She was so happy for her aunty dot but kept asking questions to whether she was safe and dianne had to assure her she was. So when mia met joe she was a little nervous but they got on like a house on fire and it made dianne so incredibly happy, especially when her and Billy called joe uncle joe for the first time. It showed dianne that even the kids thought to him as part of their family.

"I missed you to. Mia Isabella. Its been how long now. Five months since we last saw each other"
Dianne said. The last time they saw one another was at Mel and andrews wedding where mia was a flower girl.

"Its been so long. I wish you could say here all year and you and uncle joe move here"
Mia smiled

Dianne smiled back at mia wondering what to say next as she did wish she could live in Australia with ehr family but she lived the uk and could only see herself living in England and not in Australia.

"I wish I could live here sweet but I can't"
Dianne told her neice

"why?"
Mia asked

"well... England has just become home really. I moved there only expecting to be there for strictly and it got to my second series and that's where England really did become my home I guess. I couldn't imagine coming back forever. I'd miss the UK To much"
Dianne said

"so your never moving back home"
Mia asked

Dianne shook her head

"because you grew up here, is Australia still your home"
Mia questioned

Dianne nodded

"I guess it is. By law it is aswell. England doesn't become my proper home until I marry someone from England and who grew up in England. Its all to do with my work visa and that sort of boring stuff"
Dianne told mia

"marry someone from England....."
Mia started

"yeah. I have to marry someone from England for my work visa to not be a thing anymore"
Dianne explained

"someone? You mean uncle joe?"
Mia asked, dianne smiling and nodding

"yeah. I mean joe. When I marry joe, England becomes my home by law. So I won't have to have a work visa any more"
Dianne said

"when? When is uncle joe going to marry you?"
Mia asked shyly

"I don't know, you'll have to ask Joe. Its up to him."
Dianne said

"I hope you marry him. I like uncle Joe alot. He's nice"
Mia smiled. Dianne beaming at the fact mia approved of him

"that's sweet of you mia. I love him. And one day it will happen definitely. Your going to have to come over to the wedding if it's in England won't you. That's exiting"
Dianne smiled

"it is exiting. And when you have a baby will I have to come over to meet it"
Mia asked

Dianne didn't know what to say now. What the answer to this question even was or if she should even answer it.

"again mia. I don't know really because I don't even know if I'm going to have a baby. And if I do, it won't be soon"
Dianne said

"ahhhhhhh. I want a cousin though. I put it on my Christmas list"
Mia said. Dianne heart started to break at the cuteness. Mia reached under a pillow, pulling out a sheet of paper and showing it to dianne.

Ariel pyjamas
A cousin
......

Dianne sat reading it with a smile on her face. She couldn't help but smile.

"do you mind if I have this?"
Dianne asked

"you can have it. If you give me my present "
Mia said

"I'll see waht joe says.... Goodnight my little chicken nugget"
Dianne kissed her forehead Beofre turning off the light, shutting the door and walking back downstairs having hid the list her her back pocket.
