Joe and dianne arrived at the national television awards together in an uber which pulled up near to the red carpet. It was their first red carpet together since Beofre they got together so obviously they wer having pictures taken from all over the place. Dianne was wearing a 3/4 length white dress which had rose gold sparkly straps and matching waist belt where joe went for a simple black suit with a a forest green tie which was diannes favourite colour. Walking down the red carpet they posed for pictures when dianne was called for an interview. She walked over to this guy who was stood behind the bars who handed her a microphone and started asking her questions. Hey were just abut how she was getting on with strictly and her and Joe but then the interviewer said to dianne

"and can we talk about the picture you posed on Instagram when you were in Brighton. Many people said you looked pregnant. I mean you do look like you have a little bump now "
He addressed, he laughed as he said the last sentence

This made dianne extremely uncomfortable as she had just recently released her edition of the magazine happyfull which was all about her struggling to lose weight when she was in her early 20s and was still self conscious about now. And another thing which made her feel uncomfortable was that she had a condition called primary infertility (I've done alot of research on this 😂. Obviously she doesn't have it really). When dianne was diagnosed with it 5 years ago she didn't think it would really bother her but now being in a relationship in the public eye where people are talking to you about starting a family in nearly every interview made dianne emotional as it was her life long dream to have kds of her own when she couldn't. Dianne couldn't answer the question, she just stood there looking down. Luckily Amy saw her and saw the look on diannes face and she could tell that it was a very uncomfortable interview, so walked up to her and the interviewer making up an excuse that dianne had to leave.

"I'm so sorry but diannes got to go in now, she's been called by her manager"
Amy lied getting a chance to get dianne out of this awkward interview

Dianne pulled an awkward smile at the interviewer Beofre walking away with Amy. When iht of sight of this man Amy wrapped her hand around diannes back

"your manager doesn't really need you. I could tell you felt uncomfortable, are you ok Di?"
Amy asked, dianne shook her head

"come on let's go inside"
Amy said going into the theatre and finding the toilets going into them, it was the only place with no people around. Walking in dianne looked at herlsef in the mirror, and she jsut broke down.

"awwww dianne what's wrong"
Amy said holding dianne in her arms

Dianne couldn't speak. She knew in no way that this was the guys fault. Nobody knew she had primary infertility apart from her and Joe so he didn't know something like this could make her feel upset. But dianne didn't say a word and that's when Oti wake dinto the toilet.

"oh my god, whats wrong dianne?"
Oti said rushing towards her hugging her

Dianne again couldn't say anything

That's when dianne stood up and started pacing around in circles looking up at the ceiling trying to stop any more tears from falling and tksing really heavy deep breathes which wasn't normal for her or the best coping strategie.

"Oti, get joe quick."
Amy said as Oti ran off, waking up as quick as she could to the red carpet where he was having an interview about his life since doing strictly. Oti didn't want to interup but she had to.

"I'm so sorry but can we stop the interview. Umm..... Diannes having a proper meltdown in the toilets"
She said politely to the person who as interviewing joe. Joe didn't sya anything to the woman who was asking him questions, he just walked walked away quickly trying to find dianne as quick as he could. Oti ran up to him following him. When they got to the bathrooms joe wlake dinto the ladies not giving a care in a world. His girlfriend was in there and she was crying and probably wanted him.
He walked in seeing her leant against a wall crying into it as Amy comforted her.

"hey dot, I'm here now. Hey, ahhhh, come on, your alright"
He said bringing her in for a hug

"what's wrong darling?"
Joe asked her as she had calmed down a bit.

"I was having an interview.... And he was asking me questions which I didn't want to answer"
She stuttered

"what did he say?"
Joe asked her and dianne shook her head as Amy and Oti were still there and she didn't want them knowing about her primary infertility as it was something only her and Joe should know.

"come on, wipe those tears away"
He softly smiled wiping diannes tears away with his thumb and fixing her makeup with her fingers.

He took her hand and they walked out and went into the theatre taking their seats. Dianne was still a bit emotional and couldn't tell joe when Amy and Oti where around. Luckily amy spoke

"me and Oti are gonna get drinks. Do you want any?"
She said to the couple who were sat infront of her, dianne who was resting on jeos shoulder

"yeah I'll have a beer and Di will probably just have a coke"
Joe smiled and they both walked off to the bar. This elft joe with dianne. The theatre was Bearley full. There was lots of people in there but nowhere near joe or dianne so Joe thought it would be a good opportunity to ask her about what happened earlier.

"what did that man say to you dot?"
He asked her Turing to her

"he asked me to talk about the picture we took in Brighton because I looked pregnant and he said I looked pregnant tonight and it jsut made me feel really fat and self conscious."
She explained, speaking quietly

"dotty, that's horrible. Your in no way fat. Your perfect in every way. Don't listen to all those people who say mean things. Because you rally are the perfect weight and your beautiful. So your ok darling. Don't worry about it"
Joe told her

"thank you"
Dianne said and that's when Amy and Oti returned with their drinks......

At the end of the night, joe and diannes uber home was picking them up at the end of the red carpet. They knew they'd have to get past that interviewer again. They tried tto sneek last everyone but they could hear shouting

"joe, dianne can we get a picture of you and your baby bump please"

Dianne looked and locked eyes with one person. She knew exactly who said that.
"joe that's him"
She whispered to joe. Joe looked at her and put his arm aroud her back

"stay here baby. I won't be a minute"
Joe told her and waking off to this man
Dianne was scared, she didn't know what he was going to say and if he was going to grt angry or not.

"mate, just give it a rest yeah. Dianne is not pregnant, she's really self conscious about her weight because of what she went through when she were younger. We've also got something going on in our perosonal life which is effecting her. Jsut leave it yeah for me please"
He said as politely as he could wanting to stay calm in the situation

The guy laughed right in jeos face and Joe couldn't see why he was laughing.

"it's clear she's pregnant"
He laughed

That's when joe started to get a little more angry. Getting closer to the guy he spoke again.

"look, if you say one more thing, trying to insult my girlfriend, I'll make you lose your job"
Joe said having enough he walking off to dianne taking her hand and walking her to their uber.

"and don't take pictures either"
Joe added noticing this guy had now got his camera out taking pictures off them.

Joe and dianne got into whir uber at the end of the red carpet and it drove off.

"listen to me, your ok. If anyone is ever mean to you, you just tell me."
He smiled kissing her forehead

Dianne felt she was so lucky to have a guy this protective over her and who would always compliment her unlike some people, who could be so mean to try and out her down.
