"Can I copy your homework?"
I stopped my note taking and slowly looked up to a sheepishly grinning Kuroo, his hands put together as if he were praying.
Kuroo Tetsurou.
We've been in the same class for three years straight. And for three years, he has been sitting in front of me due to my name being after his in the alphabet. I don't know much about him except that he's the captain of the volleyball team, he's top 5 in the class, and he's really charismatic. People are just drawn to him.
"Is that a no?" His grin started to fade.
I shook my head and handed last night's homework to him.
"No, I was just thinking that you haven't been doing your homework lately." I told him.
"We've been preparing for our practice match against Fukurodani this weekend so I've been too exhausted to do my homework once I get home." He turned around with my paper in hand. "Thanks Sakurai-san! You're a lifesaver!."
I stared at his back as he quickly scribbled down my answers. It didn't make sense to me. I never saw him studying, he's always lazing in class, yet he's still the top 5 in the class. It wasn't fair. I had to sacrifice so much to be number 1 in this class yet Kuroo gets to live so carefree without his grades being affected.
Life really isn't fair....
I tightly gripped my mechanical pencil then continued to finish my note taking.

Dinggg dong ding donggg. Dingg dong ding donggg.
The school bell rang to signify that class was over. Kuroo quickly sprang up from his seat and ran out of class. He was probably going to Volleyball practice.
I recalled the class I just had and re-wrote notes based on what I remembered. It was how I worked on my memorization and concentration. When I was done, I realized I was the only one in the class. I neatly packed my things and left the classroom.
I'm actually not a complete bookworm. Truth is, I'm also a complete otaku! I love anime, manga, and video games! My favorite character to play in video games is archer class, and because of that I thought it would be fun to join the archery club.
I entered the archery club room and changed into my archery gear. I took off my big glasses and switched to contacts. I never wore my glasses during archery because I didn't like the glare my glasses gave off; it made it difficult to see the target sometimes. I looked up at the time and the clock read 3:30.
Shoot, I'm late!
I ran out of the club room while tying my hair and headed towards the archery dojo.
"YOU'RE LATE!" Hayashi exclaimed as she lightly karate chopped my head.
"S-sorry Hayashi-san" I apologized while rubbing my head.
"Seriously Aya-pi! How can you be the vice-captain and always be late to practice! You're setting a bad example for the other club members!" Hayashi scolded me again and lightly karate chopped my side.
Hayashi Mizuki is the captain of the archery team. I've known her since we both started the archery club 3 years ago. She has long light brown hair that she usually ties up during practice. She has really long legs and a slender figure. She's an overall beauty. On the outside she seemed calm and collected but she's super energetic once she warms up to you. It's those qualities that made her captain.
I'm only the vice captain because I always hit my mark. Well, almost...
"By the way Aya-pi-"
"Please don't call me Aya-pi, it weirds me out...."
