"Kuroo-kun? What are you doing here?" I stammered, wide-eyed. "I mean, h-how do you know where I li-live?!"
"I dropped off your homework when you were sick once," he informed me. "Anyway, as promised, I'm here to help you study whatever you missed in class."
He proudly pointed his thumb to his chest with a smug grin on his face.
"If I recall correctly, I said you can just hand me your notes," I pointed out.
One hand was on my hip, and the other hand extended out waiting for him to give me his notes.
Kuroo surprisingly gave in and looked through his messenger bag to pull out his notebook.
"Thanks," I muttered as I grabbed the book.
"Nuh-uh," he wagged his free hand and raised the book so it was out of my reach. "If I recall correctly, I'm doing you a favor. So what's in it for me?"
He flashed his iconic grin.
"What do you want?" I sighed as I folded my arms.
"A study date," he answered.
"What?"
"I said a study date," he repeated as he walked closer to me.
"F-fine! B-but another time! I have plans today!" I agreed, while waving my hands in front of me to create a barrier between us.
"Nope. Today or no deal."

How did things end up like this?
I looked up from my notes to see Kuroo across from me at my dinner table.
His head was resting on his palm as he dozed off.
My eye twitched. We've barely studied for an hour and he's already napping.
He's so irritating.
The nurse wasn't wrong about him asking me out on a study date, but this was nothing as I imagined.
Of course, there's no way he'd be interested in someone like me.
"Hey, wake up," I said while poking his arm.
I could feel the firmness of his muscles from all those years playing volleyball.
Suddenly, I remembered how he and I used to not talk to each other. And how I had a terrible impression of him.
Look at us now. I wonder when our relationship started to change?
Was it when we met each other as Aya-pi and Kurokami? No, it was before that.
Suddenly, I remembered the first time I saw him spike. Yes, it was then.
It was the first time I noticed him.
It was the first time I noticed his dedication, his hard work, and his....
My eyes drifted to the neck of his shirt. His trapezius muscle was well developed and his bulging sternocleidomastoid muscle led down to his clavicle.
I couldn't stop staring at that spot. There was something tantalizing about his exposed collarbones.
What am I thinking?!
BUZZ BUZZ
My phone vibrated loudly against the hardwood table.
"Hm?" I grabbed my phone to read the notification.
A message from Bokuto?
I quickly opened the message.
